I'm more than willing to aviod the dick sucking step and wait for the search engines to pick up my sites.... plus sending the odd mail now and a again hasn't hurt at all (double op-in, with a working remove link in every email) :D

I mail from a server set up here at home so none of my hosting get burned but it was a royal pain in the ass to keep a connection at first because we kept getting dropped by our providers (virgin, freeserve wanadoo, ntl, etc, etc)... BT came through in the end though by letting us purchase an approved script and get to we keep our connection... Plus we only send a few mailings a month so no one really gets pissy any more
