for business of course...

mine would be editplus, when you make your sites with certain REPLACEXX fields in em, it's easy to edit all codes, urls, etc.

what about you, care to share?

I am very hesitant on putting software on my computer.

With all the spyware, and other crap I try to stick to the basics so my computers work well.

Arles is a pretty good peice of software, one we have been using for a long time.

I know there are all kinds of cool things out there.... but its bette to be safe then sorry. Every hour of downtime on my computer is $$ lost.

I also have very few programs on my computer. And I probably only utilize 10% of any program that's on there.

I would say I would be lost without Excel, IE and Eudora though :)

SecureCRT...

It gets me to the Unix boxes so I can get some work done on an OS that doesn't have training wheels...

Very few problems that cant be solved lightening fast with a good shell script WITHOUT having to download/upload the thing back and forth to the server.

I'd have to say TypeItIn. Originally installed to use for filling in forms, but I now use it for anything I have to type repeatedly. Email subjects, sometimes email text, form filling, usernames and passwords, urls, link codes, some html, everything.

Couldn't live without it. :)

I use Notepad most... type it all out lickety split, Alt+E, +A, ctrl+X, ctrl+V in whatever place you need it...

Windows Commander utility. I haven't touched Windblows Explorer in decades (except maybe to try out the new one in each version only to confirm again it sucks.)

Side by side directory comparisions, drop and drag copying and moving, view code, launch your antivirtus software per file or dir, etc, treats all zips (and tars and gzs) as directories so ability to see inside each, etc. A better search feature (including text string search within text files, binary files and compressed files). A ton more.

Definitely a keeper and a program you'll use dozens if not hundreds of time a day and speed up all your normal basic functions by about 3 to 5 times faster.

Nick, time to change the avatar. Your words don't speak volumes like it should.
