When I returned from Vegas I receive the "OK" to go back to
Barry University for a different degree......the only problem is college started Monday and I reapplied last June....and today noon is the last day to sign up for classes. They are giving me a $11,865/semester. I'm in Fort Lauderdale and don't have a way to get there, and really don't know if another degree is really necessary. Maybe I should just find an internship or go to an ITT Tech type school. Opinions grantly appreciated... icq: 4609370 |

However, you wont often see anyone fail because they have too many degrees or too much education. I get the impression you can do anything you set your mind to....so go with what your heart tells you, and do what you want to do. |
Who needs an education when your in Serge's sig :)

What's your goal?
|
What degree do you already have? What degree do you want to pursue?
And of course as Colin asked, what do you want to do? |

You can be a intern for me. I need someone who has a degree(you) to look after my poker winnings and make sure I don't go broke. I'll throw in some tech duties if you like. weekends off. Listening to: "New Man On The Block" 2pac B) Last edited by masterp74 at Jan 16 2004, 07:05 AM |

long term goal: rich house wife[/b][/quote] I say, first and foremost, if you want to go to school to learn that's a GREAT idea. Many people forget about that and just thing about the piece of paper they get at the end. Of course you can learn the same material by yourself but it's also good to have a curriculum (and tests) as guidance. Since you already have a degree, you already get that. ;-) ok, you want to be a rich housewife .. but .. what do you want to do before that? Why are you thinking computer science degree? You want to do something with it or you just get off learning it? Last edited by Colin at Jan 16 2004, 11:22 AM |
It's true that you can't have too much education, but you need to consider what business opportunities you will be letting pass you by while you're in school again. If you're turning down good stuff while you get your degree, think very carefully about what future possibilities you're letting go and compare that to what you hope to gain from your new degree.
Another possibility is getting a degree online. I don't know much about AIU and places like that, but it's another option for you to consider. |
Just could not enjoy getting a degree online. It takes all the fun out of school. College is a GREAT time. :okthumb:
