I was looking at a sponsor banner today and noticed on the banner they call what's happening in the Adult Internet Industry a 'Revolution'.

Initially I thought to myself 'haha, they meant evolution'....but then I started questioning that. For me, the word 'revolution' brings up thoughts of fighting against 'the system'....of forcing change because the system is insufficient etc etc...a 'cycle' or 180 turn from the current situation.

If I had a buck for every time I've heard someone say they are going to revolutionize this industry I damn sure wouldn't be working at this point ever again ;)

Im not quite sure what you would call it but I would say that its gotten so "glossy" that the sleaze factor has been turned down to a big fat 0. Nobody seems to be generating the type of porn that turns you on, and then after you pop your load, you just wanna kill yourself (or take a really good shower) from the guilt of having seen it. Amateur sites are beginning to look better than some of their "professional" counterparts. :blink:

I would agree that evolution is more accurate than revolution. The industry (as all industries) are constantly evolving. Some changes are good, others bad, but all in the interest of doing better business.
