Oh my - I don't think *I* have 16 pairs of shoes. :unsure: But I have wide feet with a high arch and it's VERY hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable and I absolutely refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes just because they look good. And I'd rather buy shoes that will last and I couldn't care less about the fashion aspect. Heck, I have a pair of Docksides from high school that I STILL wear. :P

Oh man. I have two pairs of tennis shoes and one pair of "boat shoes". The first pair of tennies was from my sophmore year in high school (and I turn 34 in less than a week!) :P and the second pair is six years old!!

I have 11 pairs of golf shoes alone. ;-)))

Forget about golf shoes. I have 4 pair for different conditions. So add 3 pair of dress shoes, 2 pair of tennis shoes, and 2 pair of boots that and that brings my total to 11. I believe that puts me in the "moderately effeminate" category. ;)

Besides Golf shoes (yes I'm looking in the closet , which seems to be dragging me out of it ) ;-))

I have 9 pairs of Gucci loafers (different colours but all with the buckle) pretty gay , you'll agree.
2 pair Oxford brogues ..brown and black
1 pair cowboys boots
1 pair rainboots -with golf spikes , ulfie lol
2 pairs Sneakers ..1 pair from epoch
1 pair fur lined snow boots
Gucci slippers
2 pairs monogramed opera slippers (the eptimomy of gay , I think you'll agree)
2 pairs canvas yachting shoes

As an aside I just counted....I have accumulated 83 Hermes ties (from when I had to wear them for work - pre web days)...that really is gay.(its also a purchased value of around USD 20,000!!!! holy fuck

Yes, dearie - I somehow graduated from HS when I was 2. :P Granted, I WAS only 17 when I graduated (and could have graduated at 16 since I went from a private college prep school in FL to a public school in GA and had completed all my graduation requirements), but you're giving me too much credit. B)

You must not have MUCH to do on your vacation if you can't even stay away from this board. :( Heck, I don't plan on posting here when I'm in Vegas and that's a business trip! :unsure:

As for ties I've pared the collection down to about 50
Very rarely ever wear one anymore (something about having a noose around my neck isn't appealing as it once was)

But back in the day ties were the one part of business dress I had fun with

(I sheepishly admit to having some Ralph Marlin ties, Disney ties and a Cirque Du Soliel tie)

Ties are ok. MUCH different than shoes. When I had to wear a suit and tie every day to work I loved buying ties. Of course the vast majority of my ties had to be different. Had all sorts of animal ties with lions, whales, zebras, and other animals on them.
