I turned to Jen the night the story broke and told her, "I bet they'll blame Canada. I bet you that the fucking cow came from Canada !!!". And sure enough...
Fucking Canadian Terrorists trying to infect our food supply with Mad Cow Disease that's who is to blame dammit..... Trying to take away the enjoyment of eating good old fashioned burnt cow away from us! :grrr: |
LOL:
The US's plan.... 1.) Blame terrorists!!! (And pay attention ,as what the US class as a terrorist may change) 2.) Blame an Arab Nation ( Any , except Libya cause they are buddies now) 3.) Blame the French!!!! (perfectly reasonable , imho. They should be promoted to No1 in fact) 4.) If you can't blame the above...Blame Canada. :) NY power cuts - Canada's fault!!! ...............nope this time ,though ,they may be right .....errr except they got the cow 2 yrs ago , didn't they? How long does it take to spot a mad cow? I knew confucy was a mad cow after 2 posts. :) |
And Canada will blame French-Canada.....

Think I should go to bed... two threads in a row of blaming French, Candian or French Canadian is too much for me. I'm feeling bad now... :cryin:
Note : There is no way for Canadians to blame French Canadians for the mad cow since the canadian mad cow was from the plains in English Canadian land. All the bad things of the world don't come from French speaking people, actually most of the ones I know here are the ones always being nice to everyone and trying to work peace out. I guess that's what we get for that. |

I cannot speak for other people, but I was joking! Plus I was blaming the French who live in France... I like the French-Canadiens! :D |
Yeah, I know, it's always the France's French... Well, even thought my ancesters are from there (maybe 10 genrations if not more ago) I can say one thing : French Canadians don't like French either!

Canada is one country!!! All the land is Canadian!!! Shessssssh ;-))))) |
We just can't all get along, which is bad. I have French in my close friends circle, and there are some French I hated all my life. Lots of French come here as tourists and when they meet us French Canadians, they go on about how "cute" our accent is... grrrrrrrr
Why can't we all just get along, love each other, have sex... |

Most of Quebec's French Canadians (which I am) will even deny the fact that they are in Canada and won't call themselves French Canadian, they will call themselves Québecois and will claim they live in Quebec... But those are the "separatistes". |
OK....I'll grant you , I love French women!!! ;-)))
I lived in Nice/St.Jean Cap Ferat for quite a while on and off in the 80s and 90s...So I have loved some French women and had sex with lots ;-))) I am only messing with you.... ;-)))) I mean I guess I'm a typical Canadian of the year 2004. ;-)) I'm of Irish/English descendants and speak with a British Accent ( Though most think its australian) My daughter is in French Immersion and most of my friends are Chinese. A perfect Western Canadian ;-))) |

It takes 6-8 years to manifest itself in sick animals. To date, however, the only confirmed case of mad cow in Alberta with all the animals they put down and tested was a recent import from a US herd. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out. My entire family are all cattle ranchers with millions of head of cattle between them (free range). This will affect them most definitely. |

Mad cow meat sent to 42 additional locales
By Steve Mitchell UPI Medical Correspondent Published 12/29/2003 3:48 PM WASHINGTON, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- An Oregon woman said Monday she unwittingly consumed some of the recalled beef that may have contained meat from the mad cow detected in Washington earlier this month, as federal officials announced the questionable meat had been sent to 42 more facilities than previously announced. In addition, eight more Canadian cows apparently came into the United States in 2001 with the 74 that contained the cow in Mabton, Wash., that tested positive for mad cow on Dec. 23, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a news briefing Monday. "The additional eight (cows) came on a subsequent shipment," USDA's chief veterinary officer Ron DeHaven said. "We don't know at this point where those animals are," DeHaven said. "It's our understanding all of them did come into the state of Washington," he said, adding that authorities are currently trying to locate their whereabouts. The woman, who lives in Williams, Ore., told United Press International the meat was purchased and consumed before the mad cow case or the recall was announced. She declined to give her name because her family has business contacts with many ranchers but said she purchased the meat in Murphy, Ore., on Dec. 20 and she and her husband ate it the next day. The mad cow case was not announced until Dec. 23 and the recall was not initiated until Dec. 24. The USDA recalled 10,000 pounds of beef that may have contained meat from the Holstein cow in Mabton. The agency said Sunday the meat went to Guam and eight states -- California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho and Montana. Officials expanded the distribution on Monday to say it had reached 42 additional facilities http://www.upi.com/view.cfm?StoryID=200312...29-032122-6925r |

Blame Canada! Blame Canada! It's not even a real country anyway!! :P |
My grandfather owned a cattle ranch, and sold it before I was really aware of how things were run so this could be par for the course, but I'm just amazed that ONE cow was dispersed to *50* different facilities. :zoinks:
|
It's funny how those Canadian infected cows are never found in Canada but always after traveling to the U.S. Might be the weather change or the food change that drives them poor beast mad, like some type of tourist sickness. <_<
