True - my original wedding picture was a photo and we had it redone in oil. Though it's not ALL oil because that makes faces look weird, IMHO. But it looks a LOT better with the oil accents. Of course, since I got divorced a couple of years later, it now resides in storage. :P

It's a Southern thing - the wedding is the woman's and most Southern homes have a picture of just the bride in the home. Usually the ones I've seen are in a hallway, not a living room or den, but it's all a matter of personal taste. :)

Serge, this is the photo displayed at the reception. Would have been impossible to have an oil done in that time frame. Was not even a consideration.
