At the end of World War II, Churchill called for a "United States of Europe". Is the EU more like "The United States of Europe" or "The Union of the European Socialist Republics"?
|
No doubt about it, they are:
"The Union of the European Socialist Republics" I wonder how long normal everyday europeans will continue to support a EU, when they are ruled by a bunch of faceless/anonymous socialist in Brussels? |
Definately "The Union of the European Socialist Republics"?
Funny we spent billions of dollars saving them from the USSR, but they will eventually be a true "workers paridise". I really could care less, my problem is that the United States is 20 years behind them on the same road... |

Yeah did bail thier ass out in WW2, if they were speaking German now at least we wouldn't understand them when they were cutting us down. |
Something tells me on a further note, if the UK and France had been defeated in WW2 we wouldn't be having a debate right now as the world would be ruled by roaches and rats, Hitler was just crazy enough to blow everyone up having had the right technology.

Yeah that is what King George and the Parliment thought in 1776 as well... :P |
Fuck the unions

The Union of the European Socialist Republics?
Oh, fuck, I'll bet some of them have WMD. We better hurry up and save them too. BOMBS AWAY!!!! |
No need to start bombing... they are already on the road to welfare bankruptcy. The socialist models are failing, because they are getting less new borns within the EU, and more people on goverment paid pensions.
The immigration to EU is mostly undereducated and poor people from third world countries looking to get a piece of the socialist welfare programs. This means that less and less people are going to work/pay for more and more people on welfare. The current politicians are trapped in their welfare systems - they can not cut welfare systems because most people are or will be on goverment paid welfare systems within the next 15 years, and these people are their voters. Europeans who are actualy working in 15 years and who are paying taxes will go down in history as those who paid the bill for the european socialists failure. |
January 31st, 1966...Howard Wilson *almost* signed the papers to make the UK the 51st State of the United States. I'm not making it up and I used it frequently when having arguments with my British mates ;)
