Well, I read the thread as well and I thought it was kind of dumb for brad to post the list and drag WEG into it. Do people not know how to use phones anymore? Seems to me that the whole deal was kind of shady from the start but I have gotten burned on email lists before as well. I live in a glass house though so I shall cast no stones.

I missed Brad when he took his break from the boards. He grew up while he was away. He came back a very funny man. Lensman refuses to accept responsibility for the threads he removes on GFY. Lensman, or one of his gofers, took down the pictures that Brad Shaw bought for $50 of Easton (alledgedly doing coke). Then Brad supplied the controversial mailing list which KB sold him. I think it is quite acceptable to bring your dirty laundry to the boards if you have tried in good faith to resolve the issue to no avail in person or off the boards.
There is an idiot by the name of *Joe* from The Gallery People who ripped off many webmasters by refusing to refund money on work he didn't do. It's a pretty interesting thread. But, lets just say that Zimm and I have no issues are are working together on this issue. Forest, I see you are trying to find the *email list* that we have heard so much about on GFY. I looked away for a second, and it disappeared. I learned a long time ago if you see something interesting or important on the internet, grab it, because when you return, it will be gone. That is also my philosophy regarding shopping. Buy that dress now, and if you have second thoughts, you can always return it.
Brad, if you can't mention the url for the KB list on the boards, can you please email it to me...please! I have never used any kind of mailing lists because I am so against spam, but I make use of the newsgroups and have gotten good results. confucy@errata.to |

Forest, I have no use for the list. I want to see it because I have heard so much about it. In '95, I knew many who used lists. But, I received very little, if any spam during those days. Now, I daily receive enough spam to wallpaper my entire house, along with worms, viruses, and weird attachments. I was hit by the blaster worm and something called dameware which is used by hackers to enter your computer and cause you misery. I could easily play the Kathy Bates role in "Misery" if James Caan had hacked my computer. Give me those whips, knives, and guns!

One gent had 8 signups I believe to SIC Cash within the first couple of hours and then never reported back. One said they lost their account for spamming SIC, dunno if thats true. Alot of ppl spammed that list and nobody is talking about the results, and that makes no sense.
Why is nobody talking numbers? I want to know damnit :-) |

No way are to many people going to talk about "purchasing" lists Confucy because they do not want folks to think they spam..problem is spam still works and it takes some sophistication to run this operation.
If I were buying a list how could somebody prove to me they were double opt in vs stolen or harvested etc.... Very risky business to say the least but if done right it can be quite $$$$$$ profitable. |

Lee, it is much easier for me to attack men. They usually don't know how to fight women with words. They eventually resort to WHORE, BITCH, CUNT, and then decide to call you a MAN or LESBIAN. No matter what men say when fighting females, they come out looking like losers.
