Why was no one born in the US Colonies between Thursday, September 3, 1752 and Wednesday, September 13, 1752?

Bingo .... give that man a cheroot! B)

http://www.crowl.org/Lawrence/time/britgreg.html

the period of January 1 -- March 24, 1751 was the end of an epoch.
The year of 1752 began on March 25th and ended with December 31, 1752, thus the earlier days of 1752 never existed, as the deleted days of September 2--13 also never existed. The year 1752 was a very short year; 72 days shorter, in fact.
