Six straight days of anti-government protests in Iran. Iranian officials seem convinced that it is the US' doing.
What's going on here? Last edited by Colin at Jun 16 2003, 07:45 AM |

There have been periods of anti-government demonstrations before in Iran. The U.S. is ALWAYS blamed for those demonstrations. I think hyping that as an indication that the dominoes are beginning to fall is just a tad bit on the optomistic side.

There have been regular protests in Iran for years... I do not think they are the size and scope of the ones in Eastern Europe/USSR...
But they could grow larger..... would be a nice-good thing..... People want, deserve freedom. |

I hate parades.[/b][/quote] if you put your posts to music they would fit all three definitions of parody. then it would be more clear when you are... and when you are not trying to be funny. also, i can make you a small animated gif to display that will warn people when you attempt to be funny so that they can mentally prepare themselves. this will make reading your posts easier on them... and probably enhance the humor somewhat. --- par·o·dy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (pr-d) n. pl. par·o·dies A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule. See Synonyms at caricature. The genre of literature comprising such works. Something so bad as to be equivalent to intentional mockery; a travesty: The trial was a parody of justice. Music. The practice of reworking an already established composition, especially the incorporation into the Mass of material borrowed from other works, such as motets or madrigals.
