... Confucious says, "It is most difficult to find a black cat in a dark room;
especially if there is no cat." |
What are the options?
1. No WMD. Bush team knew and lied. 2. No WMD. Bush team was wrong. [alternate phrasing: Bush team guessed incorrectly] 3. No WMD in Iraq. Moved out of the country. 4. No WMD. Destroyed at the eleventh hour. 5. WMD. Not found yet. Others? |
Colin,
I say #1 and #2 are the MOST probable scenarious...even though they were PERFECT "Cause of War", but not a true reason |
I don't really think it matters any more. The main thing is Saddam is gone and any real threat of WMD left with him. Iraq can start to rebuild and become at least a free nation...
Isn't that at least one good thing to come out of all of this? |

i am still waiting for those fuckers to contact me about my $640,000,000.00 in cash they found. dicks. they never called once and they dont answer any of my e-mails. its like they work in porn or something.

Serge,
I think we agree. It also seems to me that part of the requirement of "stability" is non-proliferation. |

There is no doubt that Saddam have had and used WMD.
Somewhere, someone knows the truth, and its just a matter of time before we will know exactly what happende. There is no doubt in my mind that he have kept some of them... but we have not found Saddam yet, maybe he has the WMD in his truck? :D |
Rolo, Torone,
you still don't get it... NEVER mix the REASON for the war with CAUSE for a war. don't chase your tails, the Jesuits said it best 500 years ago: The Purpose justifies the means... |
Well - I can live with a free iraq and no wmd (as I think most people on this planet), but historians want to know...
I love history :-) |

Evening, dinner, knock in the door. Neighbor at the door asking: "Are you having a dinner"? yes, we do....do you like YESTERDAYS's leftovers? hmmm...I surely do, are you gonna invite me? of course we will, come tomorrow ;-) |
good one... :yowsa:
What about: Imagine that each leader of the United Soviet Socialist Republic finds himself on a train in the middle of nowhere, when suddenly the tracks have come to an end. What instructions would he give to his entourage? Lenin: Go infuse the peasants with revolutionary spirit and organize them to build new rails to carry our train forward! Stalin: Round up the peasants, lay down their bodies before the train and we shall ride over them. Khrushchev: Go out, tear up the tracks from behind the train, set them down in front and we shall continue our journey. Brezhnev: Pull all the curtains in the carriage, rock back and forth and make clicking noises. Gorbachev: We have glasnost now. Run outside and shout at the top of your lungs: "There are no rails!" Yeltsin: Give the tracks, the train, and the passengers back to their original homelands! Which Russian leader would you be? ;-)) |
Rolo, none of the above
;_) I'd be Junior from Sopranos.. "Fuck this shit, I'm going to Boca" ;_))) |

I have no doubt that Iraq was trying to build weapons of weapons of mass destriction. Why else would Iraq continue to hide and fight with the UN inspectors, especially when they were being threatened by the US.
Of course I do not really care, I think its a moot point. The important lesson for other countries to remember is " Don't call the United States' bluff - because you might end up with 300k troops crawling up your ass" From what I have been reading, Iraq seems to be coming around - stabilizing somewhat.... people trying to rebuild. I also think the war on terrorism is going very well - we are stomping a lot of ass. I think Al Quada is crippled.... of course it is not over yet, it will still take years - but I think Bush and the rest of this country has done a great job. Terrorist would have attacked sometimes during the war on Iraq, even if it was a small attack - just to show the US that they can act during these times.... but nothing! |
I wouldn't mind playing poker with Hussein,
he is one lousy bluffer ;-))) |
