I hope the gov't does not consider that photo unlawful!
:P Happy Easter Vick! |
Don't stop me if you've heard this one before....
Christ walks into an inn with 3 nails and says "Can you put me up for the night?" You know the difference between a Black Velvet Elvis and Jesus Christ? Only takes one nail to hang Elvis Happy Easter (or keester) MikeAI and all the Oprano readers and crew Now off to 2 dinners and a full day of my son mugging to be a cute kid Last edited by Vick at Apr 20 2003, 12:01 PM |

Is there anyway to express to all the loving well meaning relatives ..... NO CANDY !!!!!!!
(or you can keep it at your house)!!! |
lol @ pd
its getting like that these days, you can't celebrate anything without offending someone!! Happy 4 day weekend everyone :okthumb: hope you enjoy celebrating new life with your families, and don't eat too much chocolate!!! http://www.redhotgreetings.com/cards/easter_eggs.jpg |
what is easter again? jesus on the cross? or jesus reborn?
i can never keep up with it. |
Hooper - if I remember correctly - the story goes Christ was nailed to the cross on Good Friday (got to love a religion that allows their savior to be crucified, I've never figured that one out), Christ dies and then was interred in a cave behind a huge rock which could not be moved by a single man
Come Easter Sunday Jesus was supposed to have rolled away the stone himself and appeared to many including his disciples |

I thought that the Easter Bunny showed up and rolled it away for him because Jeezy Creezy was busy doing the full body press on that Shroud of Turin... BTW... the only velvet painting anyone should have involves dogs and poker... |

Happy Easter to All and to All a Good Nite !
:) |
I should have known that the most *interesting* religious holiday discussions would be @ Oprano. Why didn't I come here yesterday? lol
*banging head on desk* Yes we had a good day with relatives....yes we had a good day with relatives.... lol Oh and I hear ya on the too-much-candy thing. Finally got our families trained. The kids got a medium sized hollow bunny from Grandma this year and that was it. The rest of the basket was toys/coloring books/markers, etc. MUCH BETTER! It only took 13 years of screaming, but it was worth it. Good luck with yours! :yowsa: Hope everyone had a good weekend - or is at least on the road to recovery today. lol  |
Actually I own a Black Velvet Elvis thinking it is the most tacky thing anyone can have (It was a gag gift) - Our son Sebastian touches the picture and calls him "The King"
(sadly the pink flamingo blew away from our yard) kath- thanks on the candy thing - at least Dobby the house elf stopped by and left the DVD of Harry Potter "Chamber of Secrets" Now if the rest of the relatives could just follow suit (2 sets of grandparents and 2 sets of great grandparents = way TOO MUCH CANDY) The Easter Bunny didn't bring any candy to our house figuring Sebastian would get enough elsewhere |
The only "kid" around here is my 6 month old neice, but we had 5 adults and 5 college kids hunting for Easter Eggs. :)
My Mom and I hid them....apparently too well, because as it has been every year that I've hidden eggs, ONE didn't get found. Thankfully, it's a plastic egg and it's hidden outdoors. We figure my brother will "find" it with the lawnmower. :awinky: Love the picture, Vick! I've downloaded it and am saving it to send everyone next year. |
