U.S. launches 'armored raid' on central Baghdad
Maybe they're training the Iraqis to expect "raids" and one of these times they'll just stay. Last edited by Colin at Apr 7 2003, 04:44 AM |
Colin, dont be a naive fool. you have clearly got it all wrong.
The Iraqi Information Minister has been quite clear that no such thing happened. That the airport is not/never was under control of Coalition Forces that no C-130 landed at that airport... and that the Americans are getting slaughtered and "comitting suicide against the walls of Bagdad". Further, he was very clear today, that his decision to walk to the Al Rashid hotel (where many journalists are) for his press briefing, was not a decision that had anything to do with the *coalition lie and continued propaganda* that his own office was attacked. |
JR,
yourrrrr good! ;-))) |
Baghdad is falling.
One of the most brilliant military campaigns of all time is coming to an end. More total than the Persian Gulf War. Maybe like the WW II German takeover of Yugoslavia. |
Iran and Kuwaiti news sources reporting uprisings in Baghdad. According to Kuwaiti news source, Baghdad citizens killing Fedayeen.

we are already seeing the begining of the end i think. its pretty much over in terms of an actual military fight. there is no leadership, no organized military response, limited ability to respond and Iraqi troops are clearly hip to the fact than an Apache, A-10 or laser guided bomb may in fact be superior to an AK-47.
the Republican Guard is done and the images i see on TV on ANY station are not exactly those of mass protests in the streets against Coalition forces. F-15's and F-18's circling over head all day long in Bagdad and tanks all over the town as well as cool footage of Coalition soldiers hanging out in one of his palaces is a pretty good sign of where this is going. In my opinion, no further comparison can be made at this point to Chechnya or Beirut any other urban warfare scenario since there is no organized military force to put up a fight. they cant even communicate or organize themselves without being targeted.. and their own people are turning them in. todays briefing by the Iraqi Minister of Information should be the best yet. |

yeah. pretty sad. they quote the iraqi side non-stop as if there was no other side. just stupid Americans trying to kill innocent people with all their cool technology, for no reason at all. its like Kosovo all over again.
