Damn I'm freezing my ass off. I don't have a heater and ran out of wood for the fireplace.

So many houses in florida don't have heat. I'm going out to the swamps and chopping some wood.

Almighty Colin 01-24-2003 08:51 AM

No heat would suck! I went for my usual morning walk this morning and it wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would feel. It would be worse to be cold INSIDE though.

Forest 01-24-2003 09:06 AM

The dorm house doesnt have any heat so I had 8 girls stacked all over the cam house last night

Was Fun

I don't get cold so easy. last night it wasn't so bad but this AM I hated getting out of bed. I'm one of those people who hates wearing clothes and shoes. I love working at home and being comfortable. I hate putting all this extra shit on.

I'm leaving in a few hours and chopping some cypress.

I live in sandals and cowboy boots.

Forest 01-24-2003 09:21 AM

cypress burns well????

I live in bare feet and shorts

The girls are laughing their collective asses off seeing me in long pants

:grrr: I hate the fucking cold...But still better than Canada :nyanya:

It's zero here - I'm headed out in a few minutes for warmer parts - Atlanta - where it's 11 degrees :okthumb:

Which parts are you getting warmed? :D

Peaches 01-24-2003 09:54 AM

Hehe - here's a typical Southerner's remark from boortz.com:

"I HAVE SAID THAT I DON’T MIND COLD WEATHER …
… but now, since it was eight degrees this morning when I pulled out of the garage, I wish to modify those remarks.

I don’t mind cold weather if you hear snow … packed powder … crunching under your ski boots. I don’t mind cold weather if its piled up cooling a bottle of schnapps right next to a hot tub in which I am sitting. I don’t mind cold weather if I’m sitting at the top of Tomahawk at Steamboat, or China Bowl at Vail, waiting to make first tracks in a few inches (not feet) of fresh powder.

But … this cold we have here in Atlanta? Let me tell you … on my way to the studios at 4:30 this morning I stopped by my hangar at PDK, went inside, and plugged in that Tanis system on N750DP. As soon as today’s gig is over it’s PDK MCN OCF LAL RSW APF … and warmer weather."

:okthumb:

And Ulf - I'm going for lunch at my brother's (and I get to play with my niece!!! :bjump: ) - even though we ARE from the south, it will just be my stomach that gets warmed :nyanya:

Sorry to hear that Di. The opposite is happening in AZ. I was driving around yesterday with the A/C on...

feels like almost summer again

if this happens for another year, i am going to sell all my sweaters and jackets...

ShannonRush 01-24-2003 10:01 AM

I don't know why everyone is complaining....

after 21 years in New Jersey and living 9 months of the year with grey skies and slush under your feet this little bitty cold snap is nothing.

At least the sun is shining B)

Really? it's warm there? It's hard to imagine it being warm anywhere when it's cold as fuck in florida.

We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave

Already up to 25F and we are expecting a high of 32F today in lovely Elkridge, Maryland

Saturday we are expecting a high of 33 and it continues to heat up on Sunday with highs expected around 38 (Monday goes back to a high of 26F and possible snow)
Breaking out the swim trunks now!!

ulfie 01-24-2003 11:46 AM

It's 15 here today, I would go golfing but the 3 feet of snow makes it tough to find your ball. :)

Here's some live cams about 3 miles from my house.

Wow PRETTY!!! Right now, the night is falling and the lights are on all the snow and it looks like they've smoothed the slopes down or something. I think I found a new favorite link! :cdance:

If they raise the prices because someone in the N. GA woods is burning up their bandwidth........I'm blaming it on Wig :nyanya:
