Another Oil Tanker Sinks ... I wonder why?

Well maybe 'cause this fucking thing is older then me!?! I don't understand how can you have a tanker this old transporting oil? I mean after 10 - 15 years don't you think it's time to retire the fucking thing...

There goes the vacation to IBIZA :(

Very, Very Sad.

These things should not happen.

"...that could dwarf the infamous Exxon Valdez spill off Alaska in 1989. "

Some say it could be twice the size of the Exxon Valdez spill.

:cryin:

I beleive after Valdez, the US passed laws requiring double hulled boats only near US shores... it is a good law.

There is a ruling on single hull tankers, however it doesn't go into effect worldwide for several years. :(

The majority of 747 that are that old are flying cargo all over indonesia.
And even those 747's unlike a tanker, are taken apart and rebuilt with new parts after so many hours of flight.
Chances are you will never ride on a 747-100 since hardly anyone uses those or 747-200's for that matter anymore for commercial airlines. Most 747's flying people are the 400 model which is actually very young.
Alot of long haul flying is now going to the 777 or a scAirbus 340, which by the way, the 777 has to be the most comfortable plane I have ever been on. Like a flying hotel with tv's at every seat.
I watched I love Lucy, greatest football bloopers, played nintendo, killed a small asian man....i mean watched part of a movie on my last flight to Miami.....hell I didnt want to get off.
