Yep, our Industry really is an embarrassment! Maybe, one day, we'll have more than a handful who actually treat this as a business and not a lifestyle. But I doubt it.

Honestly, you just can't tell by the pictures taken at the various shows. They still all seem to act like "Suitcase Pimps" and wannabe playas. That's the reason we stopped going to shows years ago, they were just a waste of my time. And as for using them for an excuse to go on a holiday, well, I'd rather be away from those fools and actually enjoying myself ;)

I always hear from people about how great a show was and how much business was done, but I never see anything change. That new business just never seems to come to fruition!

YES Danny... there is Santa Claus.... er.... I mean business done, the days of 50 sales reps coming and burning the companies money and drinking everyones booze, making asses of them selfes are long gone. People who are there, are doing business, the ones who are not, wont keep up to what is happening in the adult internet today.;)

I haven't been there since 2004, but the Hurricane Hole Bar used to be a pretty good hang-out. Any new cheap, dive bars around?

We may even be there late next month! A friend is sailing down the Windwards, from Martinique to Grenada, and invited us along. We'll be stopping in Marigot Bay.

But that all depends on my father's heart valve transplant surgery, and when it finally takes place.

its a great place. Been shacked up at Ladera and eating at Boucan across the street. You would like this joint. Diving today off Soufrière and the Pitons. Now I see why you are so hooked...
