Today I watched Farenheit 9/11 for the first time.

Why?
I have to admit, I was prejudiced towards this movie. Moore did one heck of a job. I don't always agree with his conclusions, but facts presented are good.

I find it amazing, that even after that movie was seenby damn near everyone, Bushy-boy still got re-elected :(

This thought crossed my mind too. I always said that EVERY Democracy on Earth deserves the government the Democracy elects and our Nation is not an exception.

Me too but then again most people believe its propaganda. It is, but as Serge said the points presented well. Well enough to make at least a judgment. Still when it comes to Bushes MORAL SOCIAL AGENDA that seems to be Christianities main focus right now as we herald into the final days here on earth. Save the evil souls and keep the world from corruption in the final days…. Lol

Think about all the lights and finger pointing & STILL they elected him. Since the beginning of time religious beliefs have inspire men to rob, kill and destroy each other all in the name of God.

I should know better then to get involved in topics like this before coffee!

It's worth watching but won't tell you anything you haven't already heard about. It actually just got me fired up. I watched it once.

I have not seen it either.

I am already convinced Bush is the worst president in the history of our nation.

I believe the History books ( if we survive with out armegeddon brought on by this fool) will show him in a very negative light !

Joe, I didn't know you can predict the future.

Here is my question to test your powers:
when we gonna see Armagedon?

Serge, hope you take the time to watch http://www.fahrenhype911.com/

I love Michael Moore. I hope he puts out some more movies before next election cycle!!

I have seen other Moore movies, I understand the formula.
Again I am a huge fan. I hope he makes more - sooner then later!!

I am happy we live in a country where we can make any movie we want, and any political cartoons we choose.

Aren't you Serge?

well, here goes my wish to discuss the movie. I can't do it with those who hasn't seen it and only go by what they read about it.

Never mind.

Never mind.

Or are you just frustrated that we can discuss the movie without seeing it, because Moore uses the same formula, editing for every movie he has made?

You give me the title of his next movie, and I will lay the whole thing out before its even produced.

It is ok Serge, while you will never have those 2 hours of your life back, you can take it out on me.

Let me have it.

Mike, talking to you about the movie you haven't seen is like talking to you about food you never tried. Exercize in futility.

I know it, you know it and I don't wanna take you away from more productive things in life like listening to FOX about things you haven't seen yourself and take the critiques for Gospel.

I know it's hard for you to get this through your head, but I decide on my own opinions and ideas. I WAS FOX BEFORE THERE WAS CABLE SERGE.

You know my Father, you know where I come from. Why is it so hard for you to beleive I make up my onw mind....

Is it easier or you to deal with me if you think I am a mindless robot?

hmmmm......my English is very bad....I don't know what is the right word for people who have strong opinions about the subject without seeing, smelling, or hearing the subject and ONLY go on opinions about the subject by others.

Is it pot? or kettle? I wish my Inglese was better...

one side of the story, whether "well put together" or not... is still one side of the story... and still only one viewpoint and represents only one opinion and interpretation of the events... agreeing with it simply because you are a democrat/liberal or think bush is an idiot does not make it a better story, more credible, more correct, or more fair and balanced.

just my 2 cents.

JR, only reading the critique without the original is the way to a moral salvation.

JoesHO 02-11-2006 05:24 PM

Re: Today I watched Farenheit 9/11 for the first time.

Mike did Moore do " WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT"

( I did not see the movie farenhiet911 either) I was just curious if it is edited and done along the same M.O. as roger rabbit.

And Serge , Armegedon is a sef fulfilling profecy I do not believe in.
I think Man wil cause the total destruction of the world, NOT GOD or Allah .

However I do think it is possible to have this happen with a person ( or Persons) in power that fail to use simple diplomacy to have peace.

War over religion has been goin on since the begining of time and yet the world has not been destroyed .

There have been leaders that have brought the world close , but lucky for us other leaders have brought us back from this destruction with the ability to use diplomacy instead of might to rule the world .

considering the endless hype and discussion surrounding the movie and knowing micheal moore's history, i don't think one has to see it to have an opinion about it. moore's efforts are nothing if not consistent.

i saw it in the theater. no surprises. just the usuall soviet trick on not boldly lying, but only presenting 1/2 the truth and 1/2 the story, pretending its the entire story. probably why you could appreciate it ;)

and NO ONE watched it without having a strong opinion BEFORE going into the theater so its pretty silly to even debate it's merits or faults at all :)

Re: Today I watched Farenheit 9/11 for the first time.

Haven't watched in becasue I don't want to support what Moore does - put $ in his pocket in any form

Don't intend to watch it either, I just really don't care

Give me apathy or something else ;-)

Re: Today I watched Farenheit 9/11 for the first time.

and once again I'll say religion is the most amazing thing to me

How someone can get anyone to believe in something that's existence can not be proven and then tell them you have to kill those who believe different than you, that they are wrong and bad people is totally amazing to me
Best salesmen in the world

I'll take science as my religion

double wrong:
1) I haven't watched it in the theater
2) I had no strong pre-concieved opinion

I find Ashcroft singing as fascinating, and if you don't like music,
there is nothing I can do about that.
I also find it amazing him to be picked up as AG after he lost elective public office to a dead man.

38% approval rating, and you forgot about the fools that want LESS governemnt intervention as well in your rant.

you know the ones that think the new red scare and the new Hovver FBI files should not be allowed.

good evening and good luck!

what about the like minded ones that do not want jobs going overseas, and the labor force coming from across the border ?

and the government that funds all the programs that allow that to happen hmmmm if we did not spend billions fighting a false war, maybe our elderly would have neds, and our KIDS would have good schools again ?

I am sure the sharp minds you agree with will just import good cheap teachers soon and that will fix it . after all once everyone learns to speak spanish then the shcools will be unified again .

especialy when subject on hand remains unseen and attack your opponents and detract from the issue which is:
who besides MikeAI hasn't seen the Farenheit 9/11.
