Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6 million are known throughout the region for their efficiency and work ethic, as well as their general suspicion of leisure.

There is no government in the normal sense the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Defence. Income tax is unheard of. A healthy private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Woodchip Exports.

Voting is voluntary. Crime is a serious problem. Dark Logic's national animal is the cobra, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the powerand.
