I do understand your point. If you can send a good percentage of your visitors to a sponsor and make more than .05. Then great! I don't think that is very likely except maybe for the MOST TALENTED gallery makers in the Universe, of which *I* am definitely not one of them.

Well, I sure as HELL hope that none of that money is going to the red cross!!!
They have recently announced that of the money raised to help victims of S11 - some HUGE amount like $20 mill is going to set up new phones and public relations.

I for one am boycotting red cross..
there aare plenty of other charities out there who ARE doing a great job - the red cross is just giving them all a bad name!

But since you asked I will give you my humble opinion on it.

I don't think that the 4free concept is a bad one, please don't misunderstand.. but I do think like everything else in this world that it does have it's place. ie; if you've thrown everything you have at them and they absolutely 100% totally refuse to pay for porn and will not click through to a premium sponsor no matter what, then hit them with your 4free sponsor.

I review galleries for 2 major TGP's every single day. And every single day I see galleries that are totally devoted to 4free programs. The gallery maker goes all out to sell their sponsor (the 4free program) by telling the surfer how stupid it is to EVER pay for porn..yada-yada.

To me that's not "re-educating" the surfer.. that's only re-inforcing the stupid concept that all porn should be free.

I understand that the 4free programs have no control over how webmasters choose to promote them.. but then again it *is* a business, and as long as that webmaster is sending in tons of signups each day do they really care? I think not :(

My 2 cents anyway! :)

while 4free programs are titled 'free', the cost of subscribing is not measured in $$ - to register, you have to give information about yourself. this is 'payment' as it has value to the owner of the 4free site.

Nearly all non-adult services online use this method of 'charging' their surfers with a fee of 'information' - the difference between non-adult and 4free programs is that porn knows what to do with the information to make a profit :-)

4free programs aren't detrimental to the paysite business - they 'educate' a surfer to register their email address - they then 'educate' the surfer by giving them average quality free porn and premium quality upsells. have you ever received traffic from inside a 4free site? its good :-)

looks like the new 4free program from weg will make advertisers of 4free sites even happier - you get to benefit from the additional $$ being made inside 4free sites ... this is just yet another innovative way to generate traffic to paysites, and filter it for maximum value across a network of sites ... I'm sure the 4free team have been sure of their direction all along, and if 4free programs harmed their other sites in any way, would they continue to be able to bring out new products such as this latest one?

Different business/ business models have and require different levels of cooperation and competition.

While TGP2 is new it requires very high levels of cooperation. There have been problems to solve and they can best be solved through cooperation. This medium is new albeit a modification of an existing one. I believe that those that are most cooperative in the beginning have the best chance of success in the end.

At some point, TGP2 will mature and there will be splinter groups. There will be private trade groups based upon similar viewpoints, goals, opinions, or just because you like someone. At this stage, TGP2 will be less cooperative with pockets of cooperation.

Look at TGP1. Much cooperation is necessary for it to work. Webmasters have to be receptive to trades and that requires a degree of cooperativeness. TGP2 requires a different level of cooperation at this stage. TGP2 is pretty close to open source right now.

TGP2 means, bottom line, better signup ratios. TGP2 Bucks takes that into consideration and offers $1.00 per free signup instead of our normal .75. When the average of all affiliates in the program is better than 1:20 and the payout is $1.00 per subscriber, no deductions, that's better than 5 cents/RAW! It's been years since many of us have been paid 5 cents/RAW if ever. I think we AND .. TGP2 Bucks .. are on the right track.

The average TGP2 owner offers 100's more pics than our 4 Free sites give away so I don't find our program or 4 free sites in general to be opposite the ideas of TGP2. TGP2 is trying to avoid the pitfalls TGP1 has fallen into; giving away 20,000 high-quality free pics to surfers with very little advertising. We do neither of those things.

You're DAMNED right! .. and I want each affiliate in our program to make as much money as possible from us. My job is to help each affiliate make as much money as possible from our program. THAT'S MY JOB! I'm paid for that. Think about it this way .. the more money our affiliates make, the more money I make. We're wise enough to recognize and act upon it.

I'd like to pay each and every affiliate we have 10 times what we are now. All other thigns being equal, the more we pay out, the more we make.

Given that the major goals of TGP2 I stated can be considered facts, why does a major sponsor who has invested considerable time, money and even traffic into developing TGP2, so supposedly, they ascribe to the "altrusitic" principles of TGP2, continue to design and want me to promote 4free programs in which a surfer doesn't pay anything, just gives a valid email address, and presto, "more free porn"?

Don't get me wrong. I understand 4free programs. I know why a sponsor will pay me $1.00 for a join to a 4free program. I have seen many of those "member" areas...Quite frankly, they suck. Then, the surfer is bombarded with ads for "real" member sites, and sponsor pockets all the cash if they signup.

I don't have a problem with this. That was our deal, and I sincerely hope that a sponsor makes more money from the signup I sent than they paid me, otherwise they ain't gonna be around long...tis a business ya know?

I believe 're-educate the surfer' is very important - slowly adapting to take back what has been given away ... I have always had to try to re-educate my female surfers especially - women are very used to having everything provided for them for free :-)
