I got this in the mail from my dad thought I would share. What aspect of this industry is a dead horse?

The tribal wisdom of the Dakota Indians, passed on from generation to

1. Buying a stronger whip.

Whoa, just catching up on the board and read about Big Scottie. :((( Only talked with once or twice, very nice guy as man-moutains go. :-)))

Ok, rambling anecdote warning ...

I remember the last time there was a Miami convention. That cool hotel with the many islands of sofas and chairs for discussions, and a great big bar in the back yet in the middle of it all. I remember how (and this was bad in some ways, good in others) how the there were two exhibit halls. (The bar in between the two made a great "pit stop".)

Anyhow you would leave Exhibit Hall A and go down these stairs, go down these big stairs to the left took you to the bar, go down straight took you to the lobby area. So I was leaving Hall A, wondering should I go over there and get another drink, or see who was meanding around in those lobby "islands".

I noticed there was this tall buxom blonde walking (wiggling) about six feet in front of me wearing the kind of clothes that looked painted on, what clothes that is she was wearing at all.

Suddenly she screamed at the top of her lungs "Scottie!!" I look down and saw Joe and Scottie turn around, and Scottie walked closer to the bottom of these steps that were about 12 feet high. The woman literally launches herself into a dive from the very top step right at him. For him it was an easy catch. She wrapped her legs around his waist and they twirled and kissed and just kept at it for minutes. You would have thought Scottie was holding a bag of marshmellows as it was no effort for him whatsoever.

Joe's starring back with an ear-to-ear grin on his face. I pass by Joe and said in a mock-bored voice, "Eh, you know Joe women do that to me all the time." Joe gives me one of those "heh?" double-takes and then cracks up. I think 10 minutes later Scottie was still holding her up in the air like it was nothing. :-))

A towering Pompano Beach man who supported his teenage son by working as a bodyguard to the stars died this weekend in a plane crash in the Bahamas that also killed R&B singer Aaliyah and seven other people.

Scott Alan Gallin, a sometime actor, sometime investigator who stood 6-foot-8 and weighed almost 300 pounds, was the only South Floridian aboard the troubled flight. Gallin died after being pulled from the shattered wreckage of the twin-engine plane moments after it took off from Marsh Harbour International Airport on Abaco Island on Saturday.











“Scotty was not just a bodyguard; he was a good father and good human being. He was a gentle giant,” said former Broward County Sheriff Nick Navarro, whose private security firm employed him occasionally.
