Bad news for the Football Pick'em, Kaiser at netrusprise did not like the idea of competition between webmaster resources. He did not want to have webmasters have to choose sides to play for.

It is my opinion that friendly competition is good and more importantly fun. If individual webmasters can compete why not resource sites and boards??

I have a sneaky suspicion as to why he is against competition.

Anyway, so now Oprano is looking for some type of NFL pick'em script, or maybe even a Fantasy Football program that can be set up and run on our servers.

We will also invite other boards, and resource sites to join in the fun...

I should say, in this busty2.com discussion, that Mutt is correct, Phil Warren is, in fact, the photographer that Busty Amateurs bought most of their content from. To the best of my knowledge, his site is a brand new effort run by his company exclusively, with no connection to Busty Amateurs other than POSSIBLY the purchase of their customer list. If they did purchase the customer list, I don't personally see the use of it to be enough to warrant a boycott of Phil's processor.

You know... It's very tough to judge now. I think the days of 300+ listeners to live shows are over. Too many people are busy during the show times, and the market is very saturated.. We get a steady amount of listeners to the live shows , 40+, and about half that in the chat room. I can only assume people like to work while listening to the shows.
However.. we get at least that same amount coming to listen to the archives each and every day... On the weekends we have even more listening to the archives. Again, it's tough to define the success of a show.. especially since I have run shows in the past with up to 400 people listening and easily 80+ in the chat room.

Here is another one for you:

Got a call from a company inquiring about booth space availability... I gave them the options & they settled on a 10 x 20 next to an exhibitor they wanted to be next to. I told them I would reserve it for 24 hours & fax a contract. The next day (July 19th) I got back a signed contract.

A week later, they called and wanted to enlarge it to a 20 x 20, but wanted to stay next to the same exhibitor, and also discussed the possibility of having a party. We had to move an exhisting exhibitor to do this, and made it worth the exhibitors time to make the move. We also redid the floorplan again.

The next week they sent copy and credit card info for their add in the show guide (at the discounted exhibitor rate)and requested that I fax the invoice for the booth space again.

Last week I receive a email & a message on the answeribng machine that they are cancelling their reservation. We called and talked to whomever we could get & told them that they did NOT have a RESERVATION - that they had a CONTRACT, and asked if they were going to honor it? To this hour we still have not received a call back & do not know what to do about the floorplan.

This company has been around awile and certainly should know the difference between a reservation & a contract. They certainly should know that you don't cancel a 20 x 20 hole in a floorplan 2 weeks before an event with no repurcussions. Especially after floorplan has been redone, and an exhibitor moved to accomodate them, and used exhibitor status to secure add location & rate in showguide.

To me, at this stage, it is more about the big hole than it is about the money...we always work with people on payment.

And the name of this company who apparantely can't read a contract and who evidentally don't give a shit when they make a committment is......Connections USA

Just to let you all know that I have not lost my sense of humor, I will post this:

THE SENILITY PRAYER:
God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones that I do, and the eyesight to tell
the difference.

Now that I'm 'older' (but refuse to grow up), here's what I've
discovered:

ONE- I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.
TWO- My wild oats have turned into prunes and All Bran.
THREE- I finally got my head together; now my body is falling apart.
FOUR- Funny, I don't remember being absent minded...
FIVE- All reports are in; life is now officially unfair.
SIX- If all is not lost, where is it?
SEVEN- It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.
EIGHT- Some days you're the dog; some days you're the hydrant.
NINE- I wish the buck stopped here; I sure could use a few...
TEN- Kids in the back seat cause accidents.
ELEVEN- Accidents in the back seat cause...kids.
TWELVE- It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.
THIRTEEN- The only time the world beats a path to your door is when
you're in the bathroom.
FOURTEEN- If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would have put them
on my knees.
FIFTEEN- When I'm finally holding all the cards, why does everyone
decide to play chess?
SIXTEEN- It's not hard to meet expenses... they're everywhere.
SEVENTEEN- The only difference between a rut and a grave is the
depth.
EIGHTEEN- These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the
hereafter...I go somewhere to get something and then wonder what I'm here after.
