Long story made short


Step 1 - the handshake
I see some content posted on another webmasterforum, and wanted to use it with a blog I am building for a side-project during this month.

So I contact the webmaster on ICQ, tell him that I wanted to use 3-6 pictures of the content for a few blogposts, but dident want to sign up as a affiliate. I would just send the traffic directly to his domain with no reffcode (people usually pay me big $ to do that). So he get free traffic and free signups.

- The domain the content would be listed on is showed to him, along with two exampels of work for similar models and programs.

- The guy thinks it sounds great, and he even give me a login to the membersection so i can take all the content I want


Step 2 - the hard work
I spend 6-8 hours on
Handwriting 10 blogposts
Shedule them for publishing over the next 3 weeks.
Add another two posts with her name immediately, to show him that I mean business.
Add incomming links from 4 other blogs of mine, where I mention her name and link to her TAG on my new blog.

Step 3 - the WTF!!
Then I wake up to a message on ICQ, that "the models dont like the domain, so I have to take the content down ASAP"

I tell him that he is a idiot, his models are idiots and he is free to go fuck himself, and then I take down the content - AND SHOW HIM I HAVE TAKEN IT DOWN


Step 4 - Anal penetration
Now I come home from a meeting and find a DMCA takedown notice for content that isent on the server.

1. The DMCA is send under false premises
2. I have IP stamped ICQ logs that prove he gave me permission to use it, and yet he claim he dident

Question for you legal experts out there:

What would you do?

Ignore him and move along?
Make him pay the fine for sending that kind of BS?

Move on. Not worth the hassle. Then send summa that there traffic to PureAshley.

That's what I'd do anyway.

Yeah Id move on unless your like me that every once in a while I prefer to fuck with someone for entertainment.

And you are correct he should be happy to have the traffic.

My problem is that he is trying to incriminate me.

Yeah.. I saw your exact same response on the other board. What are you going to do about him? Nothing. So name the program/party involved in that others can avoid or perhaps they can address. Btw.. Cops do not concern me... I think they would believe me instead. I had one in my residence, one of many occassions, and he saw a camcorder on the floor. He asked who I had been taping. I told him his wife

I belive Richard made it clear to me what I would do, when he wrote "i suppose it would depend on how much time i wanted to waste on it"

Because it would be exactly that; another waste of time to pursue it further. You know how it is when you sometimes get fired up about something, and then realice no matter how you handle it, it wont result in anything?

I think this is one of those cases, and it took a reply from someone else to make me realice where I was heading with it.
