For me the year in porn has much more to do with the actions of Google. While they may not have targeted porn specifically, their moves between all the panda updates, changes in how they position truly lame youtube videos, and now how they have neutered the image search makes them they key for the year.

Fabian and Manwin are a close second, they are obviously one of the biggest (if not the biggest) company in porn today, but they are ending the year with some pretty serious issues, which may make it all change in 2013.

Finally, I would say that 2012 will probably go down as part of the turning point on piracy and copyright infringement. Some very nice judgements against pirates, and even yesterday a new agreement between the US and Russia to have the eastern block powerhouse start to address the issue of piracy inside their country. Russia has been one of the notorious safe spots for pirates and scammers to operate from, pulling the rug out from under them is a good move, and shows that the internet may be reaching a certain level of maturity.

For me personally, it's getting use to living in a new country, with a new language, and understanding the implications of all of the changes. I am looking forward to 2013 in the porn world with an enthusiasm I haven't had for a long time, I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and for once it doesn't appear to be a train hauling tube sites and scammers.
