I know the local branch in my neck of the woods closed this week. Getting squeezed by Redbox, Netflix, and torrents has got to suck!

Perfect example of adapt or die.

They had 80-90% market share as recently as 10 years ago. I remember when everyone said Netflix will only be around until Blockbuster decides to do DVD's by mail.

But they ignored electronic and mail distribution way too long while upstarts like Netflix were innovating.
