Your opinion on reviving a link list

We used to run a links list..did ok..nothing special. Harry took it down to redo it and did some work on it, but unfortunately it never did get put back up. Do you think its worth putting back up..or is there something else I can do with it? Hate to see all that hard work go to waste.

I don't know..people keep telling me link lists are dead. Not the big ones of course. We were making a bit of money off ours..nothing great though. If I put it back up now I would probably have to get someone to work it. Someone suggested I make it a review board...don't know.

Even the big LL's aren't pulling anywhere close the traffic numbers they were just a couple of years ago. A major change in Google's algorithm about that time dropped many of them well down the rankings. IMO, it's unlikely to generate enough income to pay for someone else to work it.

Review sites are also a dime a dozen these days, so if you go that route you'll want to have a bit different angle than everyone else.

That said, LL's are a long term investment. I've only submitted a handful of free sites, a half-dozen or so back in '05, just to learn what it was all about. This five year old free site made a sale yesterday - http://www.bevyofbabes.com/LL/desirae1/index.htm

Yeah, you're right. I think I'll hold off on that. It was a lot of work when it was up the first time. I didn't especially like doing it then so I probably couldn't manage it now with all the other stuff I have going on. Maybe some new ideas for it will come along later.

I agree, that's not a link list by any stretch.

The thing with the Live Jasmine pop under, is that it doesn't load fast enough. I nuke it before the product comes up. I think there was a time where it would work because people wouldn't be aware of it, but now I bet everyone trashes that annoying piece of shit.
Stuff like that is just plain bad for business.
