The business is alive and well and showed encouraging signs at the show. Aside from a few naysayers, the reaction was positive.
Yes, the crowds are down, but its not only in our particular industry,its world wide.
The people who were there were doing business as were we.

It inspired me to go buy fresh vegetables - oatmeal and start back at the gym tomorrow evening and then back to hiking.

Sleazy is in some kinda shit. I have never seen anyone fall apart that badly. He is getting eaten alive. A lot of knives out.

The gallons of booze and late, late hours will age people like no one's business. I know my greys have increased an awful lot since I started in the business, and Rhet, you have a point about time frames.

Though I will note that the internet, as a whole, would have a hard time with "veterans," as there hasn't really been a GUI long enough to create them. I'd have to say that if there is a veteran, it's Joel Tucker.

We had all headed into town to do the sights when Inabon had to go back to the hotel room to take care of some "honest" spammer complaints.

We ate at some very so so places there compared to what Id have at home or Vegas.

One thing is for sure if I come up there I will be skipping... motel 6 and Tim Hortons.

I had wanted to try some of the wine places around there and some ice wines but I think someone was busy trying to figure out how to fuck me on my half of Oprano.

So we settled for ritz crackers and nipple cheese with boiled shrimp and rides in a the "million dollar" mini cooper.

I can't speak for 'Puppy, but I know I take pretty short showers generally, and I ran out of hot water every morning.

For the amenities, the price is fairly steep, and the restaurants are not very good - to be as far away from everything on the Strip, there has to be some sort of compensatory something - a killer suite, great restaurants - something other than clubs that have rude staff.

Recall all of those threads where AVN sought input on how to make shows better after Miami? I believe you'll find plenty of comments about why the Palms sucks if you search those.

Liz hit a lot of the highlights, I'll add in piss poor ventilation compared to any hotel in vegas built after 1990. Whereas i can normally sit at a bar or table with smokers and have no problem, I cant breath in the Palms...the air does not turn over like it does in a real casino. Oh, and I also love watching the porn folks mingle with the little old ladies and other locals who come in for their free slot machine pull in the middle of the show. And the daycare place that works like a dog kennel back by the sports book is pure class.

Oh and I loved security trying to make me go stand in a 20 minute line to get on the elevators to go to my room in the fantasy tower the year some sponsors were doing the fantasy suite door to door thing.
