"social media" is often very good at getting eyeballs, but so far they have shown to be very poor at converting eyeballs to money in any great manner. Even google with youtube has gotten way more agressive now, with transparent overlay ads on the videos and such, desperately trying to make some sort of income from the product.

Being the most popular websites for 14 year old kids isn't a road to profitablity for most.
