different database I am guessing. I noticed different orders and what I thought better results. Some sites that had been dropped were back on top.

It's mostly backend tweaks - differences aren't readily available to the average user, other than deeper results testing.

if it's in a sandbox, it's likely not just a rule tweak but perhaps a change or major add to the database itself.

IF, i was a betting man, my guess is they may be starting to apply more of the business intelligence they apply to adwords to the search results themselves.

easy enough to test that...if i'm right, two different people on two different machines will get different results if they're searching for something in one of their personal areas of interest.

for instance if i were to do a search for "restaurants atlanta" it just might know what my tastes are based on what i have clicked on in the past and would likely show me things like red meat and bbq. blue money could do the same thing and it'd return 500 hamburger joints.
