Because Gonzo is my friend and always helps me out any way he can. There is no point in being rude....I have been around this block a loooong time and some webmasters like to see the sites they are promoting are having special events and putting effort and work into their site.

I just don't understand the point of posting that here, and of making it a sticky! This isn't a place for surfers, and that type of post will just encourage surfers. Honestly, I wouldn't even think of promoting something like that for one of our sites on a webmasters board, unless there was actually something in it or directly related to webmasters.

And if the board moderator chooses to make this a sticky it is because he wants to, he can, and he thinks it is good for biz. I dont hang out on the boards because I have a very very very busy work and life schedule. Those who actually know me....know this.

Trisha, this really has nothing to do with you personally. i would have questioned a post like that being on what is supposed to be a business board no matter who made it. I was also quite surprised to see that it was made a "sticky". Gonzo did try to downplay it by saying "Looked like a good announcement for anyone to use as a tool that has a site thats promoting any of the 3 ladies." which also did surprise me. That tends to set a little precedent where I, or anyone else on here, would now expect our surfer website promos to be promoted! Can I start posting galleries??

Personally, I would never promote any of Carol's stuff for surfers on a forum such as this. She has things going all the time that we do promote to surfers, and in the places targeted surfers do hang out. It really makes no sense at all to post any thing like that here.

As most may know, this is the only board I post on, mainly because it's the only board without all the piss and BS, and without the promo posts for surfers you see everywhere else. If that is going to change, I do want to know as then I can quietly leave. Or instead, create a new thread for "Surfers" where stuff like that can be promoted.

It's just me making a point that I don't like seeing that kind of promotion on what is supposed to be a webmaster board. Being a friend with the forum owner has no bearing on any of this.

And I did see it as a good promo tool. Sorry I was involved with surfer oriented tools up in Charlotte for a year so when I see a decent one I try to point it out.

Carol does some of the BEST viral marketing toward surfers and always has. Nobody works Xpeeps like she does.
