If something like that ran in our local paper....it would burn. Literally. Laying in people's lawns. Spontaneous combustion. Poof!

The topics, and words spoken in those columns would NEVER appear in a local paper here.
This is middle America, Amish country, Mennonite country, and every other religious organization you can name. We've got a density of 1 church per 2-300 people.

They would probably fire bomb the paper for running an "advice column" like that.
(It's just a bit repressed here)

Ah.

Well, Dan Savage certainly isn't for everyone. But he is pretty well beloved here, where Billy Graham is king.

Well, I never really entertained the thought of whoring out a girlfriend to pay bills. But I guess I'm naive as it seems more common than I would've ever thought.

And although I'm much too meat and potatoes to be tossing a salad, I'm smart enough to figure out that if it tastes like shit you're not doing it right.

But ya know, I never really thought about the condom logistics of a threesome...makes perfect sense, you gotta reskin that bad boy everytime you swap out. Just never thought about it!

Very thought provoking article!

You have no idea......
Fortunately, it's "cool enough" to most people for them to look past being "outraged."

But if it were more widely known, (Locally) I think I'd get a lot more grief. I haven't hidden it, per se, but I keep a low profile.
It helps that it has a medical use.

You should add him to your RSS feed - it's a weekly column. ^.^

And I have to say, he's always got something interesting to say, though he can be a touch more political than I sometimes would want in my sex advice columnist.

In Canada, we have Josey Vogels who writes her sex advice column and dating columns in many newspapers. She's talked to, and credited, Carol in a number of her columns dealing with Swinging and Group Sex.
