I've been working my ass off applying SEO techniques to a niche specific site for months now.

The good news is out of 4,680,000 results for the two word phrase I'm targeting, I'm on the first page in 7th position snuggled between hoes & penisbot.

My traffic is zooming . . . I'm getting more hits on my sponsors in one day than I used to in a week.

More sales? . . . . Fuck no

You need another layer of analysis.

You've increased the eyeballs to your page, that's always a good step. You're doing it with very targeted (and hopefully niche) traffic. That's even better because you've done a major bit of filtering before they even get to you.

At this point, you know you have eyeballs on the page, and you know what they're looking for. So now how do you monetize that and get the most out of it?

I'll be broad without knowing exactly what you have...

But question number 1 is did you see an increase in traffic going to your sponsors on that page? If so, you've done a big part of your job and they're not converting it. I'd be immediately tempted to try another sponsor or at least another tour or landing spot on the sponsors page.

However, part of the sale is on you and how you send it. If you're sending them over there blind and they dont know they're about to get hit up for their credit card, that hurts your odds. Sell 'em on the site BEFORE you send them over. Talk to 'em, endorse the site, let 'em know what they're going to get in the members area, why they should pay. "Tired of looking for xxxxxxx and being bounced all over the place on to get a handful of pics or a 30 second video?"

If you're not getting the traffic to 'em to begin with, that's easier to fix by working on the ads. I am a believer in having multiple ads for multiple sponsors on a landing page like that too, and they are all well thought out. Unless you are targetting a very specific type of girl, I make sure I have an ad with a blonde, one with a brunette, one with big tits, one with small tits, one in an ass and leg pose, one in a cleavage pose, etc. All guys are programmed different and different guys will automatically be drawn to different pics.

Lastly, recycle your traffic. If they pass up on all of the ads, you have yourself a surfer looking for "free shit". It's not all that productive to send these guys to a sponsor. They'll look at the free shit on the tour, then the sponsor will "recycle" them instead of you. What do I mean by recycle? Feed 'em to your own TGP or something where you can bounce 'em around and hopefully trade 'em for someone better with your traffic trades.

Just a side note on all of this, I have noticed a few posters at the zoo with the balls to post some conversion rates that are stunningly bad, some in the 1 in 20,000 range at this point.

IMHO, the credit card processors have gone megatight at this point, probably because they are seeing more chargebacks and whatnot from people trying desperately to get their credit card balances below their limits. I think it would be really interesting to see numbers for things like "tried and failed" versus "tried and succeeded" and rebill rates. I have a feeling that both parts of that discussion are in the shitter right now.

Work your traffic as you can, but I would say working to maintain your top positions is also very useful for the inevitable curve back up when things start to process again.

At the two CCBIll paysites that I manage some days I'm seeing over 90% declines on credit cards but it seems to come in waves with some days being much worse than others.
