I put a Twitter app on my iPhone and made one tweet that I had put a twitter app on my iPhone and never made another tweet.

I twitter but I'm not giving out my @ lol, but what I will do is share some VERY useful info for anyone who uses twitter.....

search is ONLY good for singly DRIVE-BY 'spams' after you do it more then twice (five if they are slacking) you can say GOODBYE to your tweets in search....

They have this wonderful loophole where they will BAN YOU (not from the site lol) but
the "Find People" "Search" "Hashtag" "Trending Topics" and "From:" and NOTHING you say no matter what it is, will ever EVER make it to search....

They have been playing with it for the last few months (under the guise of a "glitch") When in reality they have been "fine-tuning" it.

You don't have to believe me if you don't want, but if your bored do this.....

Search TWITTER here (or another board) , find a thread that features a nice selection of Twitter usernames, then head over to twitter and do the following....

(1) first goto the person's page itself (IE twitter.com/whatevernamehere) make a lil mental note of: THE LAST TIME A POST WAS MADE

(2) Next scroll down to the bottom of the page and click SEARCH

(3) type this: from:whatevernamehere (IE the twitter name MINUS the @)

(3a) I would bet dollars to donuts you will find a GOOD number say "No results for from:whatevernamehere"

what the from: hashtag does is display the post from that actual user. Twitter has been SWEEPING the site clean of accounts they deem to be "Not Search Relevant" and THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of accounts have been "banned from search"


In order to keep your search results relevant, Twitter filters search results for quality. Our search results will not include suspended accounts, or accounts that may jeopardize search quality. Material that degrades search relevancy or creates a bad search experience for people using Twitter may be permanently removed.

Now what exactly is Twitter's criteria of being "Not Search Relevant"??


* Posting duplicate content (links or tweets)
* Misuse of hashtags (words followed by the '#' sign)
* Sending automated tweets or replies
* Using bots or applications to post similar messages based on keywords
* Posting similar messages over several accounts
* Abusing trending topics
* Aggressively following and un-following people (a common spam tactic)
* Re-posting public content without attribution to the author

Twitter may automatically remove accounts engaging in these behaviors from search in order to ensure the best experience for everyone.

(4) go back to Twitter home page, and click on FIND PEOPLE

(5) Type in any username you used in (3) and again dollars to donuts allot of them will say.... "We couldn't find anyone named whatevernamehere."

(6) Finally simply type in twitter.com/whatevernamehere in your address bar and VIOLA there is the account

They (twitter) are blocking porn, MLM, spam, Religious, Adult Comedy, multi-users, rapid tweeters, etc etc at the speed of light over the last month or so.

BUT fear NOT, even though you may be banned from search you CAN still gain more followers (And honestly it makes ya feel even better when your banned and the numbers still keep climbing lol)
