Free doughnuts at Shipley and Dunkin’
Some of America’s biggest doughnut franchises will give away free doughnuts on Friday, June 5 in honor of National Donut Day.
Customers at Houston-based Shipley Do-nuts will receive one free glazed donut with any purchase until noon. Shipley has 93 locations in the Houston area, according to the company’s Web site.
Meanwhile, Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ Donuts, which has several locations in the Houston area, said participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants throughout the country will give every customer a free donut of their choice, with the purchase of any beverage, limit one per customer.
National Donut Day, held the first Friday of June each year, was started by the Chicago Salvation Army more than 70 years ago.
