Somwhere in a box I have a Frank Zappa ticket from a similar era. That was pretty damn mind blowing experience for a not even really a teenager yet!

Wow, concerts go for what like almost $100 and that's still a shitty spot.

Concerts cost so much now in part because artists no longer make any money on music sales (or author rights fees) because more and more music is pirated online. So they have to make the money back, and they have done it by raising ticket prices significantly faster than the true costs.

It isn't unusual to find top acts these days with some tickets in the $200 and $300 per seat range. It's really a major rip off.

True. I went to Alicia Keys and Neyo's concert last year. I couldn't even see their faces. It was a total rip off.

First album I ever bought was Freak Out. I saw Zappa many times with Jimmy Carl Black and his Palm tree bass drum and garbage can lid symbols. I even saw him free.
The best was waiting for some unknown folk singer to open for him. She was late, people were impatient, all the lights finally went out and the stage exploded with the "folksinger" Alice Cooper.
