World's Most Pierced Woman Tops 6,000 Piercings.



According to the Guiness Book of World Records (http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/human_body/extreme_bodies/most_pierced_woman.aspx), Elaine Davidson (http://www.elainedavidson.co.uk/index.php) is the world's most pierced woman. The former nurse from Brazil originally got that title in 2000, when she had 462 piercings, including 192 in her face. Davidson has been adding to her piercings ever since, and the U.K. Telegraph reports that she recently brought the total to 6,005 (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/4786930/Worlds-most-pierced-woman-adds-to-her-collection.html). Oddly, Davidson claims that she dislikes getting pierced, and only does it for her art. "I don't enjoy getting pierced, but to break the record you have to get to a high level," she told the Telegraph. "I wanted to break the record"

That's for sure. Your little bit of ear piercings that you have in both ears, does not compare anywhere near how many she has in just one of her ears.

nah, piercing jewelry doesn't generally set off the alarms.

That much would set off all sorts of alarms, not just metal detectors!

Nope, most body jewelry are made from surgical steel. That doen't set off metal detectors. It would suck if she needed to go in for surgery, she'd have to take 'em all out (in the event Docs gotta use a heart defibrillator).

I wonder if she's stinky... :unsure: Piercings need to be kept clean, no matter how long you have 'em.

Point the first: Zackly. I've never had to take mine out. And when I have had surgery, they tried to get me to take mine out, but I opted to sign a release.
