I got an idea for a site back in January 2007. I threw something up real quick and haven't touched it since.

My instinct still tells me it could become a viable site, but I want to get input before I attempt to put resources into it.

The site may seem a little silly, but that is the point. The potential is for it to become a humor / personality site, potentially with commentary on current events ranging from celebrities to politics and even relationships.

Before I show you the site, here is the brief back story. I was at my now ex-girlfriend's house and her 16-year old son (at the time - 2 years ago) and his friend were just goofing around with a video camera and showed me two silly videos they made.

Thus was born the site, "My Name is Pepe".

http://mynameispepe.com/

The first video is live and here is the second one:

They are silly, but a lot of people including myself, like silliness.

I think "Pepe" could grow into a mini Internet celeb if handled correctly.

This got stalled because we were stuck for material, and then other things came up, etc.

Now, I have access to a couple of good humor writers.

However, the "boys" went off to college and have a lot more interesting things than this.

So, I wanted to get input on how viable you think this is, and any ideas on the concept, marketing and promotion, as well as monetization.

If I get enough good input, then I either have to convince the original Pepe to come back, or find a new one.

I am looking forward to brutally honest feedback.

Given the right promotion I don't see why it wouldn't work....
