Oh what a mess!

I have just spent te last hour cleaning my dishwasher.

My 13 yr old son was going to start it for me, so I explained to him what to do, where the soap was, and how much to put in. Unfortunatley, he didn't pay attention.....

About 5 minutes after he started it, me & my daughter came back into the house to find a floor full of bubbles coming from the dishwasher...thank goodness we caught it when we did, or I'm sure it would have been all over the kitchen. My poor hardwood floors!

I had to use 2 beach towels to clean up the bubbles from the floor. Then I had to unload all the dishes and rinse them off. Clean out the remainder of the dish soap, clear out all the bubbles, and wipe everything down inside. I then ran a rinse only cycle with a little bit of fab softener (it cuts bubbles), run another rinse only cycle to clear all the fab softener out. Reload the dishwasher, then was able to finally run a normal load.

Needless to say, after that mess...it's lunchmeat sandwiches for dinner tonight!

Oh yeah, he will never live that one down...I'm just upset I forgot to get my camera & some pictures of it all ;)

Well haven't known anybody to do it with a dishwasher, but I've had that happen with a washer before! Not fun to clean up when it's carpet either! But after the fact it is funny lol

carpet would suck..you have to get all the suds out..foamy

Damm you read minds, what an awesome thought, I think it shall be just like the song you can never stop singing!

Nymph, good luck with those floors, the wife wanted to go to those in the kitchen when we remodeled but I am so happy we stayed with our tile.

He' very smart, too much for his own good I think. I'm still wondering if he did it on purpose to try to get out of doing them again.

I love my hardwood floors. I have them through most of the house. That's what sold me on this place, and the pool helped too ;)
