Hi, and thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I'm going to start a company producing adult content. I'm in the research stage and have a couple general questions regarding the legal side of things, I hope I can get some guidance on.
1) Any tips for finding a local adult biz friendly attorney? Online directory maybe?
2) Besides proper record keeping, what other issues do I need to get informed about?
3) Any copyright/trademark issues specific to adult content?
thanks in advance

You have asked 3 questions that could fill volumes....
There really isnt a "local" adult biz attorney unless you live in LA, NYC, Chicago and Miami. There really isnt that many.
As for 2 & 3 those would take hours to answer but here's a quick cliff notes type of answer...
2) Contractual, linking, trademark, domain name, notice requirements, DMCA, Privacy Policy, click thru contracts vs. warning page, shooting content, model releases, work for hire agreements, possible zoning issues, filming permits, advertising for talent, booking talent, working with talent, legally shooting hardcore content.... there is more
3) copyrighting your content and website, trademarking your URL as well as URDP actions, work for hire agreements for the website, editor and videographer..
There's a lot to know besides just 2257 and obscenity.

It looks like I have a lot more reading to do than I expected. Thanks.
