Latest pickup is meat cash. Heads up to anyone promoting them.

I'm still kinda upset with the take over of Extreme Paychecks. It's been well over a month, and they still don't have all the promo stuff added into the new system

There's got to be more to this than simple consolidation. Maybe it's my skeptical nature, but something just smells fishy to me.

This business smells like tuna at the moment. I am waiting for the dust to settle and all the fucking wannabee gurus, political pundits, business experts,
and traffic morons disappear. This board has done a good job of scaring them off.....lolol....now Darwin will do the rest.
I knew it was coming. I laughed at them back in the day, and I get a smug satisfaction out of watching them cry the blues today.
One sage fellow, not of the English persuasion, is pissing and moaning over getting "ripped off" for a few hundred grand he invested foolishly, after stealing that himself from innocent punters. Go figure. I am with Sharon Stone on this...Karma.

My feeling on this one is that there is a significant amount of old links out there to these programs, and with some talented traffic management, they can likely squeeze free money out by doing exit trades and other with sites they own, making money out of nothing.

They also appear to move non-NATS sites onto NATS, and I am confident that somewhere along the line, older non-performing hosted galleries and others end up in the waste bin. I am sure that if they cannot find the full records for content, they pull the content, the gallery, and such. I am also sure that while it isn't intentional, some galleries will go 404 or old linking systems get killed off over time, creating a certain amount of free 404 style traffic from outdated links.

At the end of the day, I think that Dee and they guys are buying traffic, not programs, looking more for what is on the backside of the deal and less about what is in front. Just picking up the exit traffic off these sites and such is a good business move, particularly if some of the rumored buyout prices are true. It's a very smart move from people who have spotted an opportunity and are looking to exploit it to the max.

Interesting...not my field, really. How much money are we talking about to make all this shit worth the effort? thousands or millions?

Definitely millions, but.... I've also heard that not all of these have been cash and carry, but installments over time. No idea how true those rumours are.

Toby, you don't seem very confident in this response and the whole thing sounds dodgy to me. I have seen way too many millionaires in my life that had a lot of ruth and not a whole lot of less for my taste. It is the stuff that dreams are made of and keeps the suckers working for peanuts.

Toby, you don't seem very confident in this response...I'm not real confident about anything I've been hearing/reading about all these acquisitions. The bullshit meter has been on high from the outset.

We obviously have the same brand of bullshit meter.

I have heard rumors of anything from a percentage of earnings going forward (and fairly low numbers) to one reasonably well known but ignored program trading hands for a few thousand dollars, just to allow the operator to save face instead of shutting down.

I have seen full solo girl sites on the market(very cute girls) posting earnings of 28K a year for three sites and accepting offers. Lots of folks thinking 9 to 5 might be a better option.

I like the idea of promoting "Indies" more and more these days.

why would you not? Boutique websites do very well. They are what launched internet porn and are still a huge part of the market. Personally, I dislike corporate websites and avoid them as do many. Small websites are trusted more and encourage retention.

I do :D That was more of a rhetorical statement affirming what I've been doing for several years.

BTW, Unlike "what's his name", I wouldn't mind fucking your wife myself :okthumb:

Now that is funny. You know, that is one of the reasons our websites do so well. Morons like Jace and Rcourt and the rest just don't understand the porn business.
