I make too much money. I pay tons of taxes. So I get zip.

Yet, there are lots of people who pay NO taxes who do get one.

Maybe I'm just paranoid......but does anyone else find it more than slightly suspicious that the government promised to cut an insignificant check for most, but good size check for the poor, and all you had to do was "sign up" with all your personal information, banking information, and current address?

Remember, they specifically targeted, those people that aren't normally required to file a federal tax return? Those people that would normally "fall through the cracks" of the annual registration form 1040.

Now, what do you suppose is gonna happen to all those people NEXT year, when they don't file again? Call in, for a friendly audit conversation?
