The cherry blossoms are on the trees. I have roses blooming in my garden and buds on the bushes, and I only need to wear a t shirt to go shopping. Hope it lasts...lol

Must be nice, still real chilly here. I'd like to just skip spring, and go right into summer...the pool & Margaritas...oh yeah!

I was skiing in a tshirt and shorts. Its the best season of the year. Its the time where I really feel sorry for those who live in Florida or anywhere too warm. This is just unbelievable. We suffer the winter but for the next 8 months you just can't beat this climate. And for the other four months, God gave us the fireplace and mountains. I am feeling pretty chilled at the moment.

I'm just back from Ft. Lauderdale.

It was already HOT there.

And lots of sweaty people walking around who smelled like feet and ass.

I like Lauderdale. Its a nice place to visit. Fla is very low on my list of places to live, though. I think it must be because of tax benefits or something that folks live there. Hurricanes, heat, retirees, Jeb Bush, trailer parks, Epcot centre,....it all kinda adds up. If I was gonna live somewhere warm, I think it would be at least somewhere where the scuba diving is decent.

The only problem with Vancouver is all that F'n rain! Every time I am there, it's pissing on me. I see your 10-day forecast is for rain every day out there. No wonder Vancouver is the suicide capital of North America! ;)

I agree with my wife on this one, I'll take a bit of cold and snow over constant drizzle. That's the main reason I've turned Boeing down on job offers so many times, I probably would end up killing myself looking at that dreary gray sky every day :yowsa:

J's and I have had this same talk a few times....

Yeah, but when it rains, I just drive up a mountain into the snow where it belongs. I left those eastern winters behind. When you gonna get your ass out here? I look out my window and see sailboats everywhere. I think I owe you a bottle of sake.

Charlotte is overcast and has rained here off and on since last weekend.

Some observations

1. The reason they all love Walmart here is cuz Kmart sux.
2. Billy Graham BLVD means if we arent a chain our ass is closed on Sunday.
3. Dickheads that drive Neons like to park on top of an SRT to show off those boss racing team stickers and pray that a little go go juice might fall off that Hemi and on to the cheap assed ride.
4. Mustang owners are still pussies and suffer from a Napeleon complex.
5. University section of town means its the fucking GHETTO!

Now that sounds great but since the thread also mentioned Ft.Lauderdale well I think we have to add Mango drinks as well.

And Gonzo what's up with hating on Charlotte my friend, someone up there needs to put a smile on your face! :yowsa:

We still may move out that way, but not to Vancouver. We'd probably go someplace up on the Sunshine Coast, away from the city. We're looking at moving somewhere out of Quebec within the next couple of years, and are still talking about places to go.

I sort of ended up in the same situation as well. I have lived most of my life here, but it is getting close I think to being time to move on.

I have not regretted the move. However, you do know that the "Sunshine Coast" is just a euphemism I hope.
I was just up around Half Moon Bay and its pretty cool. But it ain't Montreal.
