David lee may not have the range he once had or jump as high as he use to but these guys still got it going on

Eddies 15 minute guitar solo was pure genius, alex's 10 minute drum solo was rock solid and jammed.

wolfgang is a really good base player.

and what can you say about D.L Roth? He is still amazing.

My ears are still ringing and I have no voice left. I may buy tickets to next week performance here it was that good.

Next concert is in March. Def leppard, Styx and REO speed wagon. Then its RUSH in april

All the old rockers are on the road this year. I may be deaf by summer LOL

Yeah, they're sounding as good as they did at their peak. Looks like all of them took it seriously, got in shape, staying healthy and the show is very well rehearsed. You're going to see the exact same show every night. Safe play on their part, though I kinda prefer the way a band like Metallica doesn't set the play list until night of the show just for the surprises.

David Lee Roth looks like he hired a trainer and worked out like a mad man. He didn't push the vocals too hard, I heard little to none of his injections of throat singing for his sound effects and screams. That's a wise move as it should let his throat still be in good shape at the end of the tour.

Eddie, well, Eddie can blow away any other guitarist even at the end of a 4 day bender. But when he's straight and on like he seems to be right now, I can help but feel we're seeing something that is a level of genius that will be remember 100 years from now like Mozart is remembered now. You cant teach what he does. He gets a sound in his head and can figure out how to make it come from a guitar.

Wolfgang is already better than Michael Anthony in my opinion. The kid is only 16 and didn't pick up playing bass til about 18 months ago. The apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Alex... Alex made me tired just watching that solo. He's 54 years old and still able to go strong for almost 2 hours straight.

Great show, I've also entertained thoughts of trying to squeeze tickets to their return show here at Gwinnett Arena in a couple of weeks.

Maybe I'll check if they are coming my way. Nothing will top seeing The Eagles inconcert but this sounds like it could be good.

Yes, but that doesn't mean you can't compare the enjoyment of the two. The Eagles is BY FAR the best musically and the best if you combine the music and the atmosphere/fun I had. For example nothing will ever top the fun I had seeing the Grateful Dead live at Soldier Field or Jimmy Buffet. That said- while I enjoy the music, especially Buffets as I grew up sailing and it just "speaks" to me because of that, the music is a far second to the atmospere and fun surrouding the concert. A Van Halen concert, while urely fun and decent music, wouldn't compare on any level to those concerts in either regard.

again apple to oranges. There is a different vibe at a VH show then at Jimmy (who I have seen 5 times) or the dead (saw them once) or the eagles for that matter ( went 2 nights in a row)

I dont jump up and down and head bang and go nuts at a buffet show or the eagles. Jimmy I dance and do all the hand signs that us parrot heads do. At the eagles I cheer and sit and enjoy the tunes. At VH Im a fucking animal. You should see me at a Judas Priest concert LOL

Cant wait for zepplin to tour.

I'm looking forward to seeing Pearl Jam and Metallica this summer... I still have hopes that Zepp will turn up at the festival. ^.^

Ok, damm I want to see the show in the worst kind of way, VH was always one of my all time favorites that I never got to see in concert, I have to believe that it would be as memorable as KISS in costume when I finally had the chance to see them a few years back!
