Cyberspace (PRADULT) January 27, 2008 — AEBN, the global leader in VOD, is pleased to announce the addition of Joe Jekel to the sales and marketing team. Jekel brings to the table a rather unique set of business experiences and a raging entrepreneurial spirit, having run several start-up companies over the years. Interestingly enough, it was one of his former companies that first introduced him to AEBN. “We wrote a program called Remote Thumbs,” he recalls. “We actually ended up selling it to AEBN.”
Now, it is Joe who will sell the AEBN concept to others, something that he is looking forward to doing. “I’m really happy and excited to be with a good brand like AEBN that is quite a powerhouse. They have a lot to offer and are always on the pioneering and cutting edge,” he says.
Jerry Anders, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AEBN, thinks Jekel is a perfect fit for the company. Says Anders, “Joe is definitely one of the most focused and ambitious people I have ever met in any industry. I’m psyched to have him on our team in 2008.”
Though his career path has taken many twists and turns, Jekel has managed to navigate the waters quite well. It is apropos that he would reference a famous explorer in regard to the new challenges he will face. “I’m very excited being someone AEBN tapped to help chart some of these courses with them,” he remarks. “It’s like Columbus came to me and said, ‘Hey. I’ve got this plan. I’ve got all the money and all the ships and I’m going to America. Do you want to jump on board and be the cook?’”
