Is anyone going to the XBiz Hollywood Show February 6 - 8?

They have the trade show (http://www.xbizhollywood.com/conference.php) and the awards show (http://www.xbizawards.com/) tied together.

I will be speaking on the traffic panel.

I will be there with my two female bosses, Laura and Joanna Angel. Joanna is nominated for two awards.

Fffffffffffffffuuuuucccckkkkkkk nooooo....

Haven't recovered from Vegas yet.

And I'm heading to Colorado for skiing next week, I should have my head examined for putting that so close to Vegas, but didn't think before agreeing to go.

I am quite proud to say that I was able to stay away from every Players Ball! :okthumb:

They would be fun if people actually attended in the "spirit" of the event, and not acted like they were real "Playas". Such an embarrassment.

I'm going to hang out a few extra days with my chick and be Hollywood tourists. Her brother lives there and is an actor on some Spanish TV shows. We will visit him too.

The Roosevelt Hotel is across the street from the famous Mann's Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I have been there before, but this is Laura's first time.

I will be there every single waking moment. And I am moderating the Health Issues/Work Comp forum on February 7th.

Look for me I will be walking around with my GF - Vanessa Blue. You can't miss her she has ginormous cans (as she likes to say).

That and not make the door such a goat fuck.

I've yet to go to one. I've walked past the line and laughed many times. Back in the day you'd have non-industry sliding in, door men looking for a bribe and everyone inside acting like a pimp in an environment where you cant hear yourself think.

Our standard M.O. would always be grab a handful of people we wanted to talk to, hang with or do business with, go have a nice quiet dinner somewhere instead.

The shows have scaled down to a manageable size though now, and I haven't heard any major gripes in quite a while. I might break my streak sometime at a future show.

We always did great business during the Players Ball, it was just never at the Players Ball! You never know though, if the Playas stop attending, and people can go in the spirit of a true Players Ball, I may just attend one year.

It's like that self-congratulatory circle-jerk called the XBiz awards. I'm still surprised so many people take that crap seriously and act like it means something! I would feel foolish actually going to that. It's like the old AVN Internet awards, when CE won for "Fuck Force Five" before the site was even released! I had hoped that was the end of those silly awards shows (and Carol won 2 AVN's and 4 WebExpo awards!). Thinking about it, our industry really is full of shit on so many levels ;)

You're really hurting your chances of winning a Big Woody.
