CYBERNET EXPO LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE FOR 2008 SAN FRANCISCO SHOW

Burbank, CA, January 4 -- Cybernet Expo is pleased to announce the launch of its all new website for the 2008 event in San Francisco. In addition to basic information about Cybernet Expo, including dates for the June show, the website also provides information about currently available sponsorship packages, information about the host hotel, and the option to sign up for Cybernet Expo updates by email.

"We gave the website a new look to compliment the all new San Francisco destination," says Connor Young, President of YNOT Network. "Cybernet Expo has been a part of the adult Internet industry since the very beginning and we're pleased to continue its tradition of excellence. The show has always been focused on the adult Internet business, and with a great new destination for 2008, and a brand new website, we're off to a fast start. This show is for companies who sell adult entertainment online."

The 2008 Cybernet Expo trade show will take place at the Golden Gateway hotel in San Francisco, California, from June 10th through June 12th. The Golden Gateway Hotel is located in the center of downtown San Francisco, just steps away from the historic California Cable Car turnaround in the lower Nob Hill / Pacific Heights neighborhood. The hotel is near all major city attractions, with shopping, dining and entertainment choices, all within walking distance.

Geared exclusively towards the adult Internet business, Cybernet Expo provides attendees with a mix of informative seminars and unique networking opportunities. The seminars will feature expert speakers from successful online adult companies offering tips and techniques on how to make more money with adult websites. Evening events like the Show and Sell Marketing Event and sponsored industry-only parties at various San Francisco hot spots will provide attendees with opportunities to talk business with industry peers in a fun setting.

"Everyone I talk to is extremely excited about having an adult Internet show in San Francisco," says LAJ, Director of Operations for Cybernet Expo. "People love that city. The fact that over 1/2 of the show's sponsorships are already sold out five months in advance should be a great indicator of not only how big the show will be, but also the value that Cybernet Expo provides to both sponsors and attendees."

Corporate Sponsors for this year's show thus far include AEBN, FlashCash and DatingGold. YappoDollars has signed on as the Conference Sponsor, and High Def Riches has claimed the Registration and Attendee Bag Sponsorships. Additional confirmed sponsors include FTV Cash for the Card Key Sponsor, and GroobyBucks for the Wristband Sponsor.

Cybernet Expo, now in its 11th year, was acquired in late 2007 by YNOT Network, LP. The show had been owned previously by longtime operators Tradeshow Productions, Inc., although YNOT Network had been partners in the event for several years.

For more information about Cybernet Expo, please visit the website at http://www.cybernetexpo.com. Several sponsorship packages are still available. If you are interested in marketing your company at Cybernet Expo, please contact LAJ at jay@ynot.com or ICQ#92418228.

Well SF def. has something for everyone. No other city in the US even remotely like it.

Glad you are making the trek out!

I think we'll make this one. SF is a great city that I haven't been to in close to 20 years. Carol has never been and I know she'd love it.

Danny maybe you can help me convince jay to have an amateur roundtable session?

I'm not sure how well that would work these days. We used to put on Amateur Seminars, first on our own, and then working with Homegrown. Farrell and I used to head up the roundtable and get discussions going, which were quite good.

The first one we did was here in Montreal in 1999 at the CybernetExpo show, and we had the "who's who" of the Amateur world at that one, plus all sorts of very new Amateurs. We then did them every year until the last one at Internext in the summer of 2003. The last couple had dwindling attendance as that was the start of the end for many Amateurs in the industry.

These days, very few Amateurs are making any money and as you know, very few actually make it to the shows. There are probably less than 10 Amateurs that make over $100K a year these days (and that's probably stretching), as most make what we call "beer money".

But, we would be willing to help out in any way to do something for the Amateur market. After all, that has been my bread and butter for the past 13 years ;)

I quietly attended those Danny.
They were indeed quite good and I think greatly beneficial.

Let me do some stirring and see what I can come up with.

I like San Francisco, though I despise the flight time.

But from a business standpoint, we see the same west coast players at every show in or near California, Phoenix, Vegas, so this one isn't an automatic for me. I'd be quicker to jump at another show somewhere east of the Mississippi as the beauty of Cybernet last year is it brought out people we dont normally run into.

We'll see how the year shapes up. I'll likely signup as soon as the Mitchell Bros party is a lock though, I couldn't pass that up.

I have been attending Cybernet on and off since 2003.

In my experience it is one of the best, if not the best adult webmaster show for doing business and the seminars are the best too - like 1 million times better than other show seminars that shall remain nameless ... until I snap about it again that is.

I am hoping to be on a panel or two again and will bring the lovely Ms. Joanna Angel with me too.

Jay - the new site looks great. I got a 404 on this page though:

Well thanks for the Kudos KevinG... very high compliments indeed! Can we talk on Monday regarding seminars...I'm compiling a list of speakers and seminar ideas and would like to kick around an idea or two with you. Please hit me up on ICQ!

And dammit about the contact page... do you recall what page you accessed that link thru?

Cuz if you go to the homepage and click "contact" at the top there, it does bring you to the right page:

Agreed that the travel is lengthy for east coast peeps and the time change upon return can be harsh after a few nights of partying late night... but fortunately SFO airport is a direct flight for most markets. And frankly for Cybernet Expo and how low we are trying to keep the prices... it's worth it! :D

And HP... Cybernet has typically drawn a different crowd than other west coast(ish) shows I think. The fact that we are moving to SF will increase attendance and bring a lot of familar faces but you can count on the business and professional atmosphere being our top priority. The show really attracts people with ROI on their mind and given the new location there will be plenty of unfamiliar faces there too.

In the spirit of numerous replies here... I'll add one more.

The O'Farrell theatre (Mitchell Bros.) is less than a mile from the hotel. In fact it's walking distance as there are no major hills to traverse coming or going. I actually want to organize a sponsored tour / private dance and tug if the theatre will allow it and if a sponsor wants to step up and go down in adult Internet history.

Hey Jay - yeah we can talk anytime.

It seems that Contact page link was fixed as I just went back to the site looking for it and couldn't find it.

However, while I was just looking at the site again I noticed that it could benefit from a little SEO touch up. I'll make you an offer you can't refuse on that if you're interested.

I will definitely consider something like this... but I have tried it in the past and it was one of the least attended seminars unfortunately.

That's the main reason we stopped doing them, the attendance just dwindled. The last one we did was more of a small get-together than a seminar.

Yeah, you cant very well do much with an amateur seminar if you do not have a decent number of amateurs attending. And it has to be REAL amateurs, otherwise you might as well repackage it as a solo girls seminar or something else. The techniques that apply to producing and promoting a REAL amateur versus a "corporate" amateur are different.

For various reasons we've discussed here in threads before the amateur segment of the industry has greatly reduced the number of shows they go to. I think to get them back you'd have to do a lot more than a seminar. My hunch is a show designed just around them would work, something that could combine as a good working vacation where there's a lot of fun, and a lot of opportunity to shoot with other girls, etc. Maybe a cruise or hedonism type getaway that is friendly to the "lifestyle".

Now one spin that might be an interesting topic would be the difference between amateur, corporate amateur, solo girl and how best to promote each.

...Maybe a cruise or hedonism type getaway that is friendly to the "lifestyle"...There's a perfect illustration of something else that has/is changing within the independent amateur ranks. While many of them are still swingers, an ever growing number of them are NOT.

Hey LAJ

Tomorrow is bad. I gotta wrap a bunch of stuff up before I leave for Vegas on Tues. AM.

Are you going to AEE or just Internext ?

Either way lets meet up in Vegas. Come by the booth (#8088) if you're at AEE. If Im not there, tell my staff to call me and I will come back to the booth.

If just Internext then let's setup a lunch to talk.

Hey there Michael... I get in late Wednesday evening. YNOT has a booth on the b2b floor for AEE with Connor Young running it solo earlier that day. I will most definitely meet up with you there and will add your booth# to my itinerary. See you Thursday!

True enough.

In fact all of the ones I personally know well actually are NOT. However, most all ARE exhibitionists and would love the opportunity to strip off butt nekkid in scenic and public places for some photo sets.

Again an adults only cruise or closed resort would be friendly to both.

I dont see either happening though because there's no real organization to that community and not a lot in it for sponsors. No real incentive for anyone to organize it.
