To XTube's Kurtis Potec:

Dude, first, you get the balls award for showing up on the morning show with a panel of anti-porn people......

So, good deal for doing that.
You even did a half decent shop of defending your position under the conditions you had to work with....hostile panel, hostile hosts, bright lights, millions watching.
I know how intimidating even a cable appearance can be.
So you did fairly well.

Given enough time to talk, you could have expanded on your point about anything being twisted to be "bad" and "addictive."
They just cut you off, intentionally to make you look disjointed.

So on all points except one, I give you props, and thank you on behalf of the industry for making a public appearance on behalf of free speech.

The one complaint I have, and this one is completely under your control, is this:

I understand it's cool, and hip to wear the windbreaker, torn jeans, unshaven peach fuzz face, earring, and crazy hairstyle.

But when you are doing an international TV appearance, it just looks like you are the grungy, nasty, back alley, people they are trying to portray us all, as.

Would it hurt to wear a decent pair of "still cool" pants, and a normal shirt? How about a nice professional looking geek shirt with your company name on?
Why not turn your on screen time into a chance to burn your domain name into their memories? Even a hip euro T-shirt/wetsuit look with your name running up the side would have worked here?

The mindless trolls that watch this crap (and vote) read an awful lot into the appearance of people, and you could have defended your position (and ours) a little more before you said anything.

But really, overall, good job, good try, and keep up the good work.
I'm sure your server just crashed, from all those "shocked and outraged people" logging on to see what was so evil (Not 'cause they wanted to see porn mind you...)

I agree. How hard is it to understand that image is everything when you're trying to make a good impression? Oh wait, he wasn't trying to make a good impression, he was just being himself. :whistling

Yea, I'm sure he was...but here's the thing:

He's building a "for profit" business. And not only that, there were MILLIONS watching that show. millions of impressions. And he wasn't talking the "yea, we're rad and screw you society" talk. He was definately taking the "we're not bad and just offering the people a place to express themselves" approach.

Trying to make his site palatible, which is exactly the trap they wanted him to fall into.
But he still got great exposure. So, at the end of the day, cha-ching!
