CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Video-on-demand provider AEBN (http://www.aebn.net/) has signed a deal with Teravision (http://www.clubtera.com/) to make the adult studio’s movies available throughout the AEBN network of theaters.

“I don’t even know how to explain how excited I was when that contract finally came in,” AEBN’s Erin Burns said. “I am not a quiet person so needless to say most of the office heard a loud 'fuck yeah.'”
Upon consummation of the deal, AEBN now features 16 Teravision titles available for download, while one title, “Appetite for Destruction,” can be streamed live. AEBN plans to add more Teravision titles, all of which will fall under the premium content designation.
Downloadable Teravision movies include “InTERActive,” “Decadence,” “American MILF,” “Desperate,” “Ultra Violett,” “Reign of Tera 2,” “Skinn Kandi,” “Teradise Island: Anal Fever,” “Fashion Underground” and “Test Drive.”
Burns and Teravision’s Evan Seinfeld originally began negotiations at last year’s Exxxotica Miami.
“Let’s face it,” Burns said, “everyone knows who Tera Patrick is, so the deal was a no-brainer. We plan on doing a great many things with Teravision in the future. They are always open to new ways of promotion and are willing to explore exciting new avenues to further both our business brands. Evan and I are constantly talking about industry trends and the new ideas that come from them.”
Seinfeld has been very outspoken about what he feels is the inequitable commission structure that exists for studios when joining VOD networks. He’s always stressed that since he feels Teravision is a premium product, they should earn a premium commission.
“We at Teravision look forward to the unlimited potential of our relationship with AEBN and merging two true top brands,” Seinfeld said. “We have been working on this deal for a year to make sure we can participate in VOD and benefit from new revenue streams, top technology, and massive traffic without devaluing our product. Teravision and Vivid have been working very hard to keep our VOD model from alienating the price point of our DVD market. “Tera and I feel that preserving premium pricing for our product in any medium is essential to keeping our brand value high and the value of high-end porn in general up. We urge our fellow studios to do the same and be creative with all our distributors in every medium to maintain price integrity for the entire industry in general, even in a changing market. AEBN’s creativity in creating an amazing experience for their end user is now a huge benefit to Teravision, and we are happy to make our Tera Patrick and Teravision movies available to a huge and brand new audience.”

I can't believe AEBN sent this out as is. Essentially, the entire last paragraph is Evan squawking about how he managed to get a sweetheart deal out of them. Unless they're ready to do the same with other so-called producers of premium product, doesn't this send the wrong message?

Yeah, I know. What I mean is that I'm sure that this was a company press release, and most likely not sent out by Teravision.

Well, Evan always says exactly what he's thinking, now doesn't he?

Well, Evan always says exactly what he's thinking, now doesn't he?

This is true, however...

After comparing the stories on Xbiz and AVN, it's obvious that the information came from a company press release (same quotes, same general structure, etc.), and as best as I can tell, it came from AEBN. How do I know this? Well, I don't for sure. But as someone who has seen nearly every single press release put out by adult companies over the past two years, I imagine my speculation is dead on.

In other words, yeah, Evan always says what he thinks, but is that a quote you really wanna put in a press release? Maybe it is, but I know damned well I wouldn't want to release that information and never would in any of press releases I send out.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Yes, to put it a little more clearly......that's my way of saying "Evan often says things I don't agree might be the best thing to say to promote business, but I'm not one to say anything to Evan about what he's saying, 'cause the guy is at least straight up and honest with me, but again, I think he MIGHT say things a bit differently for maximum business effect."
