The Free Speech Coalition Tries To Back Door The Piracy Roundtable

To understand this fully you need to know that The gutless, worthless jackals at the FSC recently accepted a 10,000 dollar donation from Adult Friend Finder (AFF). AFF is one of the largest monetary supporters of pirate sites on the planet.
So last night a group of content producers in LA got togetherfor a round table on how to deal with the piracy issue, and they made a mistake by inviting Jeffery Douglas to be the Moderator.
Douglas, who is beholden to the FSC, wasted no time in sneaking in a couple of FSC members posing as content producers (they weren’t) so that the FSC, who is a whore for anyone with a check, could try to wrangle control of the meeting.
AVN also showed up but they got turned away this meeting was only for content producers and distributors.
The good news is that the Free Speech Cabal was summarily rejected and essentially told to sit in the back of the truck and shut the fuck up, while the roundtable did it’s business.
Kudos to them for that. I also want to acknowledge someone who has drawn criticism here in the past, that being Attorney Greg Picconelli, who stepped up and offered the group PRO BONO legal services with no limits. Now that’s stepping up to the plate and I applaud him for it.
The group further organized and identified a plan of attack that I will not outline here. Suffice it to say I hope they are successful.
Next time…Y’all have Greg moderate and kick that sorry fuck Douglas and his whore the FSC out on their asses. All the FSC wanted to do was gain control, pretend they are doing something (like they always do) and keep cashing checks from people profiting from stealing our hard work.

Good to see the FSC get smacked for a change. They should have told AFF to jam their money up their asses. Or better yet, give it to the affiliates they stole it from.

Should be obvious by now that the FSC is only interested in donations.
Them getting involved with piracy issues is another attempt at trying to steal some glory to hoist more donations.
Remember this is the same orgainzation that claimed they had your back if you were a member until push came to shove and they had to clarify their position.
Quite honestly Im not sure what a roundtable lead by a blowhard and attention whore thinks it will accomplish.
Remember this is the same moron that lead everyone to believe that he owned a program when in fact he was nothing more than the owners personal lapdog.

Am I missing something here or does this open you up to a civil suit by one of the largest and most powerful companies in adult?
Please do not misunderstand me, I have seen some things that have gone on with AFF that makes my face red and stomach turn... but still is it in your best interest to word it like that publicly?
And while I know you don't need it I am just looking out for ya bro

As far as I know it's common knowledge that AFF made the donation and it's also common knowledge that AFF paid Zango for advertising, so what exactly did he say that he could be sued for? Libel is nearly impossible to prove, but the first thing you have to prove is that the person lied.

this
The gutless, worthless jackals
and this
AFF is one of the largest monetary supporters of pirate sites on the planet
both seem to be very hard for him to prove and I would think AFF could fight it... he isnt stating those as opinions
but I am certainly no lawyer

The saying is that the best defense against libel or slander is the truth.
I think it's safe to say that its true that AFF supports pirate sites in a big way by buying adspace on damn near all of them, thus keeping the pirate sites in business.
as for calling the FSC gutless jackals. Thats perfectly OK If I accuse them of a crime they havent been convicted of thats possible libel if I call them a den of theives thats still just opinion so its OK
Now ya know....

I've seen no evidence that FSC or ASCAP either one have a true mission beyond cashing checks.
But then how many people in this business can you name who have the integrity to turn down a large check?

There's no law against calling someone a name. As for saying AFF is 'ONE OF THE largest monetary supporters", there's no way they can disprove that. He didn't say they were THE largest.

My complaint was......
when I spoke with the FSC guy about a better structure for collecting membership dues for the small website owners, (Feedback I received from others) I got the big song and dance about how they were "stretched to the max on resources" and "couldn't possibly keep track of all that." And then both of them said, in unison, "But you can put your membership dues on a credit card!"
So, Ok, they are all backed up, right?
Like a week after that, they suddenly announce the big piracy initiative.
Now, I realize piracy is the scourge of the earth, and will ruin the industry, and all that,......
But really? Is this the area the Free Speech Coalition should be lining up to get into? Even if they did "have the personnel and resources" for it, which they claim they didn't?
From what I'm reading here, y'all seem to think there is some other angle on this I would be very interested to know about....????

Their and as well as ASCP is nothing more than doing whatever it takes to get your donation.
Lets talk about Joan a little bit more.
They get all that money from you to protect the world from child porn.
How about some accountability? There have been sites I reported to the YEARS ago becasue they said they could get something done about them.
Id be interested to see how many they have actually got shut down.
Im willing to bet very very very few.
Maybe Joan would have better luck trying to intimidate a family in Ft lauderdale from taking pictures of Max Hardcores model as she was shootin in the fountain.
Thats the most work Ive EVER seen her do since getting in this business.
Maybe she was mad that more people were looking at the model when she was flashing than when she gets drunk at shows and starts flashing the guys.
I ask you. Is this how you want your money spent?

Oh, I dunno.....
The ASCP lady seemed OK to me.
Sounds like she's on a mission to hit as many shows as possible, in as many places as possible.
Don't know if she's really making a difference.......but here's the thing:
Are we better with, or without someone like that prowling around the industry?
reflecting back to the senate hearing when crazy senator Ted eskimo read the riot act to the industry about "doing something, or THEY will," we can certainly point to her and say "See? We got something going on there......."
Sorta, kinda got the Govt off the back of the gaming industry... (Bit of a stretch as an example, but it's valid)

Its a joke and a con to shame this industry into contributing to an organization that does NOTHING but fancy themselves as a lobbyist group.
I will give them this... playing the kiddie porn card seems to have worked much better for them that the FSC and the fear of a 2257 inspection.
Of course they dont promise you anything for your money. So there is truth in advertising there!
