Who here is going to either of these events? I figure I'll go to at least one of them but trying to decide which one if i only go to one. I went to Internext last year and enjoyed myself and had a great hotel room that was offsite that I liked better than the Westin to be honest. It wasn't fancy but had it's own stove and refirdge which was nice and for a better price.

Vegas in July is hot....damned hot. I've done it before. It is indeed a "dry heat", but so is an oven. Go turn on your oven, let it get hot, then stick your head in it. That's what it feels like when you exit the casino.

Now, not like Miami in August is much better....and that's NOT a dry heat. Same test...this time go stick your head in a sauna.

I'd probably do Xbiz were it not so close to Cybernet. But that's just because I love Vegas. The show can totally suck ass, and I'll still have a great time.

I doubt I'm doing Internext. I'll almost certainly do whatever the next Vegas show is after that.

Always remember its not the heat, its the stupidity.

I just can't miss summer Internext. That's actually my last show of 2007.

I am booked and ready for internext

next year will be a year of ALL shows for me, but I am integrating back into the "top notch" "bro" club slowly so it isn't quite a shock on my system

I really wish you had made Tampa, we were really looking for someone to match us drink for drink at the NatNet party.

I'm leaning towards Internext as I had a good time there last year. Gotta say though that Vegas is cheap and there are real cash game poker available on the downtime. :>))

I was matching you in spirit on bourbon street....i must have had 20 drinks....and they called them "hand grenades"

nothing like waking up the next morning at 11am after going to sleep at 7am....then driving for 8 hours

internext florida is the start of something good though, I am making a LOT more plans from then on

OK, so if I was to go to one show with the intention of having fun and making some money at the same time, which one do you guys suggest? I think Vegas sounds dull so anything else as a suggestion? Oh yeah, and one where I can finally meet Gonzo cause he once promised to buy me ribs and still owes me some Oprano swag.

I am booked for Miami and I plan to attend Vegas.

And there is the possibility of a Fat Fucking Summit at anytime!

Well, you probably just missed the one that you would've liked best.

Xbiz Vegas is next up. Small-ish Vegas show at Hard Rock. Expect mostly a west coast crowd plus many of the usual trade show party players cuz it is in Vegas.

Internext Miami in August. Lots of people prefer it over the Vegas Internext. This probably the 2nd or 3rd largest show of the year behind Phoenix Forum and maybe Vegas Internext. As you may have seen in another thread though, the Westin is booked, so you're staying offsite or on waiting list at this point. GonZo will be representing FFN's at this one.

I dont keep up with the international shows being the American that I am, but I know there are upcoming shows in Montreal, Munich, Amsterdam and Berlin.

Island Gathering in Curacao is sometime in October. Small show, but IMO most of the attendees at this one have already made their money, have good business and aren't exactly hungry. Good tax-free Carribbean trip though.

Webmaster Access LA is a west coast show personified, that's November.

I dont know if the 2008 shows are announced or not, but I believe we'll have a Vegas Internext again sometime near CES...hopefully after again. And I believe there will be a Tahoe show again. One of those two is likely my next show unless I get a wild hair up my ass.

We are attending Internext in Aug, mostly just because schedules work out best for that show. We haven't been to a Florida show in a couple of years, so we are looking forward to it.

Go to the Miami show if you want to see Gonzo. I assume when Gonzo is talking about the Vegas show he's talking about the one in january as I don't think he's ever gone to the XBiz show before. Vegas is, well, Vegas with LOTS of distractions there and everyone can be very spread out. And It has too many other fun things to do to get the most bang for your buck businesswise IMHO. That said there is something to say for doing a REAL dual vacation/business trip.

I'd love to go to Xbiz in Vegas but I am too busy to kill another half a week schmoozing at trade shows this summer. Internext in Hollywood is always a great show, and the Westin is only five minutes from my house so I will be there for sure.

Gonzo, the only evil that tempts me are skinny young models! Internext should be a good show.
